About this listen

Hide and seek is a lot less fun in an alien prison where the winner gets . . . me.

Rian: I'm not a stranger to being behind bars, but this prison leaves a lot to be desired. There are zero communal showers, minimal locking cells, and the other prisoners are extremely hostile. That could be because they are aliens, and this is a prison in another galaxy. Add in the fact that I'm a human female, and my life span has just dropped some serious time.

I'm about to go down fighting when a scary blue alien with spikes decides he's my rescuer. Except he doesn't seem happy about my presence and, well, join the club, buddy.

Mikko: After spending a third of my life in the Pit, I returned for some payback but instead find a human female fighting for her life. She's small, snarly, and irritatingly beautiful.

When a coveted reward is offered to the prisoners for our capture, the game changes. My enemies thought I was unpredictable with anger issues before? They haven't seen anything yet. I'll escape again with my female, and then the real payback begins.

Contains mature themes.

The female narrator drove me crazy with her monotone voice. the male narrator and story were awesome though. I don't know if I'll continue the series because of the narration.

monotone

great story of revenge versus love. mikko meets his mate while trying to destroy the pit and come to terms with his past. the hillbobs and Mary were a nice addition as was trawn and Leah. ties in nicely with the original settlement for a HEA . I love the core values and sense of community among the Drix. the stolen warriors feel more unique because of their different mods and looks. great stories!! narrators are good and add to bringing the story to life.

love the stolen warriors!

Another great book In this series!! The last series was good but Rexor and Mikko’s stories have action, romance, found family and animal sidekicks. This is such a fun and great story and I am really enjoying it.

it was a good storyline. I am happy the male lead made a mistake that almost cost him. loved the female lead character. not whining, it was good. I like it when the males aren't always prefect. it was refreshing and a good add to the series. wish the ending was longer, loved getting glimpses of the past characters.

nice

This story is original and different from the others, so far, and it's full of action and warmth. The MC's are spicy but with that warmth they both deserve. I suck at reviews, sorry, just give this a listen. it's worth the time. Thanks

Romance: 🖤💙❤️💚

World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: 🙃🙁😋🥰
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Rian - she was a secretary who went to bed one night and woke up to find she was abducted by aliens. She killed one of the aliens that abducted her and was hauled away on the desert planet by the Plykins who ran the planet. She overheard her captors saying that she would be sent to the pit and be hunted by something or someone and would probably be torn apart.

The Hero: Mikko - he was a Drixonian warrior who was used by the Uldani in their attempts to create genetically mutated super-soldiers. He and some of his peers were changed and after being deemed failures by the Uldani, they were sold to the fighting pits. Though even if they were freed, they didn’t think they would be welcomed back into Drixonian society, until recently when Rexor went back and was accepted with open arms. Mikko and fellow outcasts are still on the planet that runs the pits, getting their revenge on the race that held them as slaves for years.

The Story: When Rian gets to the pit, she is thrown into a cage. She finds out it is a prison where they put the worst of the worst. She is given a blade, and her cage is lowered into the pit. Her captors want to make her death interesting, so they have something to watch. She plans to fight for her life, like she always had in the past. She sees a pit full of monsters, some in doorless cells, some in one big cesspool of angry aliens with infected wounds, missing limbs, blackened teeth and more. Her cage springs opened when she hits bottom and starts swinging her knife, while dodging hands.

Just when Rian thinks all is lost, a huge blue alien male rescues her. They end up locked in a room and she wasn’t quite sure what he wanted from her. Mikko had at once known a human female did not belong and his Drixonian nature kicked in and he saved Rian before he knew what he was doing. Now he was stuck with her, and none too happy about it.

The story was exciting, there was a lot of action, since their escape from the pit didn’t go quite as planned. Though I have been really enjoying the stolen warriors storylines so far. Each one is different, I thought going in that this would be similar to the first book, but it turned out so differently. The characters were great, the world building was good as well. There were some good villains in this book as well.

This audiobook was narrated from multiple perspectives, done in dual narration by Oliver Highpoint and Rachel Woods. Oliver Highpoint has a clear, pleasant voice. Though he isn’t one of my favorite male narrators, he is darn close. Rachel Woods also has a decent voice, though there is something about it that grates on my nerves a bit. She is expressive and you can’t tell she is reading; she sounds young which worked well for this heroine.

Exciting alien prison adventure!
