Publisher's summary

Clairvoyant Trackers are valuable resources for law-enforcement agencies and the US government because of their unique ability to hunt down criminals and missing persons using the specially developed powers of their minds. In the beliefs of the American Indians, experts at tracking game and enemies, the seventh child of a seventh child is gifted with second sight and can be trained to become a Tracker.

The Trackers are the unique descendants of legendary trackers from different Indian tribes who possess the rare gift of second sight and its psychic powers.

Mist is the Bloodhound's story. Dane Lightfoot must use his psychic smelling gift as a clairscent to trace perfumes and fragrances laced with deadly black-market liquid ecstasy. His track leads him to the acclaimed Sense of Smell Institute, where his heightened olfactory abilities are both a help and a hindrance to his investigation.

Set against the backdrop of the New York City perfume industry, Mist is an exciting paranormal thriller that contrasts the laid-back Seminole Indian lifestyle with the bustling big-city melting pot.

Loved the storyline

I loved this story. It drew my attention right from the start.... but then I found my thoughts drifting off and had to go back to see what I missed. The characters were fascinating but hard for me to get to know because of the narration. I didn't feel this narrator fit with the story very well. I would much prefer her for a different type of book. (perhaps a cozy mystery or comedy?) I'm sure I will be listening to this book again because I know I missed a few things the first time. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

Something new!

From their base in North Florida, a close knit group of Native American teens use their paranormal gifts to help law enforcement find justice for victims of very unusual crimes. The story is excellent, especially if you prefer present tense accounts.
Catherine Wenglowski is a narrator I've not heard before, but is excellent in voice quality and interpretation.
I won this audio in a giveaway without expectations.

Uniquely Fascinating

Full of mystery and suspense, Mist gives a unique background to a paranormal story. In this book, Native American teens use their paranormal powers to help police solve crimes.

I loved the little glimpses of Native American history throughout the book, and the way that the author used them to help guide their story along. The characters were solid enough, and I found myself wishing to know more about them at the end of the book. The present tense writing style of the book helped to add more suspense and urgency to the situation that the characters faced.

This is definitely different from any paranormal book I’ve picked up before but I think it’s a good blend of different and suspenseful.

The narrator did a good job of bringing the story to life.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

the narrator was really good.
I enjoyed the book after the 1st chapter. I love the way each person has a different story/gift. I enjoy ESP type books.
