About this listen

Marrying a monster doesn't change his nature....

They call my husband-to-be "Mob Prince," but his happily-ever-after consists of bound wrists and broken promises. Tall, dark, and handsome don’t begin to describe his level of gorgeous. Tony Costa is a dangerous man with a beautiful face.

We’re arranged to marry.

Start a family.

Or else.

My father forced me to the altar, giving me to the silver-spooned gangster with a blackened soul. He hates my family. Hates me. And he’ll make me his perfect wife.

I’m supposed to serve him, bear his children, and obey.

I refuse to surrender to the monster in my bed...but submitting to his power fulfills my darkest desires. Before long, I’m enthralled by his steamy threats, his rough hands, his beautiful, deep eyes...and the terrible secrets they hold.

Am I in love with the man?

Or am I submitting to a monster?

Author's Note: Builds on the Sinners of Boston series, but is a standalone romance. This enemies-to-lovers, age gap, arranged marriage romance is between a feisty biker princess and a ruthless mafia prince.

Mafia/MC story, interesting…

This mafia arranged romance was interesting. I loved how the heroine, Livi, was more realistic with her situation. What I couldn’t stand was her constantly running towards danger then surprised that it was dangerous 🙄 she never listened! It was infuriating to listen.

I enjoyed Christian and Livi’s friend budding romance. I really loved that there was a double date in there… in most books, once the heroine gets with the hero, she forgets her friends and won’t even try to fix her friend with the gorgeous men she meets in her new life… anyway, just something that irks me in books and was a nice thing to see how Livi encouraged Christian because they were both good people despite her “baby daddy.”

Okay, back to the book, it is an arranged marriage, age gap (hate those and almost stopped reading but the heroine doesn’t bring it up every 2 seconds so it was okay) mafia and biker story. There’s an arranged marriage to make their families peaceful but then a lot of crazy things happening underground while the newlyweds navigate their marriage and families…

It was an enjoyable listen even though at times Livi annoyed me, glad I stuck it out because it was a good story.

This was a fantastic book!! Had the right amount of love, spice, pain and wholeness. One of my favorites I have read this past year. I would recommend this book to all.

Tony the Monster

Tony was truly a monster after being kidnapped by the MC club when he was younger. They did terrible things to him and damaged him physically and mentally. His father was a mafia Don and when he died, someone else took over. Tony was always strung out on drugs or alcohol. He was forced to marry the MC president's daughter who was only 22. Tony was 38. For most of the book, he lived away from her. He was not a likeable person. Tony caused a lot of problems between them by not telling her the truth. When Eve is kidnapped and sold as a s&x slave, he snaps and kills lots of people. The subject of this book is dark. The book has a decent ending and Tony was only a little more likeable. Oliver Clarke and Meg Sylvan did a very good job with the narration.

need better narrators

the story is okay, however I can't finish because Meg Sylvan's narration is horrible. her male performances are painful to listen to. the performance is so bad that it actually interfere with the story. this should be redone with different narration.
