About this listen

Mormonland is the raw confessional memoir of a Mormon boy who grew up in a small western town and pursued the Hollywood dream. He devoted five decades of his life to a church filled with highly questionable doctrine, troubling temple rituals, and never-ending expectations. What outsiders may call racist, sexist, and cult-like practices, insiders call God-given, the true Family Proclamation, and too sacred to share. No doubt, there will be those who appreciate Rodney's story, and those that will decry them. His story may not differ from a lot of other Mormon boys, except for the fact that he's telling it.

Touching

It is truly touching to have a fellow LDS share so openly what many choose to turn a blind eye to. Thank you @RodneyHenson may we all walk the path of healing on our way to Heaven.

Incredible story telling

This is an amazing book, it is so raw and relatable and had me in tears many times. The story itself reminds me so much of what I went through growing up in the church, and the way Henson tells it is so honest. A truly cathartic experience.
