Publisher's summary

My mother is obsessed with every detail of my wedding–controlling my dress, my ring, my happiness. But when the day finally comes, will she really let me go?

I’m smiling as I walk down the aisle, but my smile masks cold, clammy, prickling fear, even though it’s meant to be the happiest day of my life.

My husband-to-be, Owen, is everything to me, with his sandy hair and sparkling blue eyes. He convinced me everything would be fine. That we’d be safe. I pray he was right as I reach for his hand. He smiles reassuringly. I swallow hard.

Because last year, my sister’s fiancé was murdered on his wedding day. And I found my mother’s corsage next to his body.

So when our guests are asked if they have any objections, I hold my breath. Please let me be wrong about what she did. Please let Owen be safe.

But when I turn to look at my mother, my blood turns to ice.

There is only dark, calculating fury in her eyes. I knew she didn’t want to let me go. But is my husband’s life actually in danger? Or is mine…?

A addictive psychological thriller from an Amazon bestseller with twists that will have your head spinning until the very end. Fans of The Housemaid, The Family Upstairs, and The Perfect Marriage will be absolutely gripped!

The twists

I thought this story flowed perfectly all the way through and I really enjoyed it. It’s written very well and has you wondering what’s happening and the ending is very satisfying.

Good story just one small niggle

Love the story, love the narrator; however, one small error of pronunciation which ruined the crossword clue- desert i.e. should be pronounced like the Sahara and not like a soufflé. It drove me crazy because I could not get the clue 😂. Otherwise I always enjoy this author and narrator a great deal! I find the books soothing and gripping at the same time which is exactly what I want!

The twists and turns

loved the way, the Liz stood her ground with her mother.
Ad hiw close she was with her sister Shell.
Overall, it was a wonderfully written book; it kept me on the edge of my seat, literally. The voice reader did an excellent job, with each accents and voice change.

The 3 last chapters felt like I was watching a suspended filled movie. The scene at the church where Owen/Joseph took Liz captive; I predicted he had a knife.

It was devastated and ironic for those sisters have lost their future hubbies on wedding day...( therapy for all")

Now that I know Sylvia wasn't a blk spider, her and her husband can reconcile and live out their golden urs together.
Great wroting/storyline.
I couldn't wait to 5💫💫💫💫💫+ this story.

will listen from same author again, Shell be in my archives with A. Shreve one of my favorite best authors.

From a future author
