About this listen
In Spring 1811, when Elizabeth Bennet visits Derbyshire with her aunt and uncle, a chance encounter with Mr. Darcy at a village festival sets her world aflame.
As the festival dances spin a tale of burgeoning desire and social machinations, Elizabeth's sharp wit and Mr. Darcy's brooding demeanor clash in a tempest of attraction and societal expectations. With each stolen moment and heated glance, the two must navigate their burgeoning connection, one neither expected nor understands.
But the true storm brews with Mr. Wickham's nefarious intentions toward innocent Georgiana. Soon, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy are pulled into a whirlwind of deceit, redemption, and heartbreak. And as danger and romance converge at the heart of Pemberley, can Elizabeth save Mr. Darcy and Georgiana from a betrayal that threatens to unravel everything?
Dive into the intoxicating allure of Mr. Darcy's Passion at Pemberley, a steamy Pride and Prejudice variation of 21,000 words where love, honor, and passion collide in the most unexpected and exhilarating ways.

Story
Of Gates and Grace is a light, sweet, very low-angst novella of a little 39,000 words written from a decidedly Christian perspective. When Darcy and Elizabeth meet for the first time – or is it the second? – he mistakes her for a wood nymph. Excerpt: “Well, are you coming in?” After a pause, the gatekeeper, presumably St. Peter, repeated more slowly as if he was speaking to slow-witted children, “So are you two coming in or staying out there?” Darcy spoke first, “I don’t think I’m finished yet. I have more that I need to accomplish. My sister isn’t yet married, and…and...

One warning, two cautions, and two notes: WARNING: Portions of this book focus on some of George Wickham’s worst crimes against young ladies. While the revenge taken is not fully or graphically detailed, it is extreme. “He had certainly formed such a plan, and without meaning that it should effect his endeavour to separate him from Miss Bennet, it is probable that it might add something to his lively concern for the welfare of his friend.” Pride & Prejudice, chapter 45 This vagary proposes an alternate path for the characters of Pride and Prejudice. Only, her parents' deaths did not discourage the man who hated her birth father, who had spurned the man's sister. Blended whiskey, blended family. Thomas Bennet is a successful second son, a man who went into trade when his older brother, Harold, inherited Longbourn. When Harold passes, Thomas and his two children (James and Elizabeth) return to Longbourn to live with Harold’s widow (Fanny) and four daughters (Jane, Mary, Catherine and Lydia). A full length novel that is a clean, low angst reimagining of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.

Unless one knows the value of loyalty, he cannot appreciate the cost of betrayal. What if Darcy and Elizabeth met weeks before the Meryton assembly? What if there is no barely “tolerable” remark to have Elizabeth rejecting Mr. Darcy’s affections, but rather a dip in a cold creek that sets her against him? What if Mr. Bennet is a renown Shakespearean scholar who encourages Darcy to act the role of Petruchio from Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” to bring Elizabeth’s Katherina persona to the line? ELIZABETH BENNET’s pride has her learning a difficult lesson: Loyalty is ...

Warning: This is another excessively sweet, clean, low-angst story written from a decidedly Christian point of view. This novella of about 44,000 words is about the fulfillment of Elizabeth’s Bennet’s childhood wish to be Mrs. Darcy. Excerpt: The young couple joined hands as they stood together in the sun-filled meadow of the sprawling estate of Pemberley. “Dearly beloved,” the ceremony began, “we have gathered here to witness the joining of this couple in holy matrimony.” The speaker did his best to remember the words of the marriage service without the benefit of his prayer ...

Too much sex with not enough real plot
It might have been better for me had the narrator not been a virtual voice. It just does not work with characters speaking with lots of emotion and passion. I do not like virtual voice. It was a short story, so plots were really not developed well. However, I am such a fanatic for Pride and Prejudice that I will listen to any variation!
