About this listen

It’s not every day you come across an autobiography which starts out with learning how to overcome sexual abuse as a child, how to become an international playboy who built the most famous boutique hotel in the world, where people like Freddie Mercury, George Michael, Julio Iglesias to name a few, called a home away from home, add in the odd shipwreck or two and more than a few thousand sexual partners and misdemeanors along the way, and when your finished, you'll agree that this book is not just another great listen but its perhaps the greatest story every told.

The narration is phenomenal and the story of Tony Pike is euphoric. Well done. Can’t wait to visit Pike’s this summer!

Narration and story are amazing

A life well live and honest to the core. As a fellow parent, I and I can only speak for myself. I would have not been so forgiving about someone murdering my Son. There would have been severe consequences!!!

One Hell of a Life

tony lived a incredible life. was it one i would want to live. i don't think so, but good for him for making something of himself. he sounded like women were more important than his children and he discarded them when it wasn't at his convenience, but that's just what you get from the story. most people live for their children, he lived for that next piece of ass which really is pretty sad. maybe he had a better relationship than what the book led on, but he sounded like a horrible deadbeat dad. He made his own luck no doubt.

he truely lived a full life

Tony Pikes story was very interesting from start to finish. He experienced a lot as a young boy and even more as a man. Safe to say he too can say he’s lived quite the life many people do not get to experience by seeing the world like he has.

If you are looking for a book that shares the beauty of Ibiza and the pleasures of vicariously living through Tony Pike’s experiences you will walk away frustrated. This book is a poorly written, shallow accounting of a man’s life. The book barely scratches the surface of Tony’s explorations and accomplishments, even the recounting of his stated enormous sexual appetite was superficial. His name dropping of the entertainment crowd he attracted with a large flair of misogynistic sexual encounters was repetitive and drearily drab. I questioned how much of his recounting of the ‘beautiful women and men’ he ‘bedded’ was actually true. Those accounts were quite nondescript. ‘She was gorgeous, a model, I f’d her’. The most descript of a sexual encounter was with George Michael. With all this said. This book of Tony Pike’s life could have been so much more.

Disappointing, lacking depth of description and poorly written
