Mrs Holliday and the golden triangle

I first read the Mrs pollifax books in the 70s, and was surprised to see the influence they have had on my life. I am 80 years old and traveled a lot. I'm sure Mrs P and the travels have made me what I am today.

This trip didn’t work out

It was an ok read. My least favorite so far. I am unsure why. Not that interesting to me.

Great series

Where does Mrs. Pollifax and the Golden Triangle rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Absolutely loved this whole series. Narration was great except for the last book in the series. Loved the locations and the detailed description about the people, customs, and traditions. Mrs. Pollifax character was a delight and loved her. Listened to the series twice through I enjoyed it so much. The narrator was so good, I can't imagine that reading the books would have been nearly as enjoyable.

New Favorite

I am new to the Mrs Pollifax novels and I love them. I am on book 9 already and will hate to see the end of them. The concept is a little unbelievable, but, that's no different from a lot of mystery novels I read, my favorite current protagonist Is Jack Reacher and he's about as super human as they come. The Pollifax characters are well developed and likable. If you're looking for an enjoyable read with a little mystery and drama, this is it.

Rapidly moving adventure

The story - another Mrs. Pollifax adventure - was my favorite so far. The narrator delivered the tale with just the right voice for each situation, enhancing the excitement or seriousness of the scene. I love the details of the environment, some of which I had visited myself. I recommended this story for a truly enjoyable read.

Another winner

I’ve enjoyed Ms Gilman’s characters, writing style, humor and the detailed info of the culture and sites of Emily’s assignments. Love the voice of narrator, Barbara Rosenblat, too. She IS Emily Pollifax.
