About this listen

Rick and the gang must find Tyler Raynes, who was kidnapped on Halloween night at the crossroads in Mississippi. He went there to sell his soul to the devil, following in the footsteps of Blues legend Robert Johnson. But Tyler met an even more insidious fate at the hands of a certified psychopath.

This is the fifth book in the Rick Waters series. The book is very entertaining. This is a good solid story that moves at a fast pace. It is at times somewhat predictable but overall a good read. These books are pretty much standalone and can be listened to in any order. There is a continuing relationship between the protagonist and his girlfriend and for that reason I would listen to the series in order. Again, this is not necessary.
I adore Nick Sullivan’s narrating abilities and for that reason I would purchase this book even if you are unfamiliar with the author.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Very Good Addition to this series!

First off Nick Sullivan is a great narrator! While I've enjoyed the Caribbean Mysteries I'm getting a bit tired of more time spent enjoying all the money instead of working on the case. This book seemed like there was more relaxing and fun then actually looking for Tyler. I think it would be more interesting to have them working on the mysteries instead of them flying all over the place enjoying themselves and eating out all the time. It just is getting old for me. Also, it seems in all the books Rick is in the ICU and again, that is getting old too. I'd like to have a good mystery and less of the "good times" descriptions. I will maybe try another book when it comes out but hoping for more mystery and less opulence.

Too Much Opulence
