About this listen

My name is Megan, and I have a knack for two things: discovering dead bodies and uncovering secrets.

I don’t go looking for dead friends and neighbors. They just show up.

Like when my best friend and I are on our way to lunch and stumble across Jill Plumb’s dead body.

Jill’s death was no accident. It was murder. Untangling the mystery of her death unravels a string of secrets that were never meant to be revealed.

One of these secrets cost Jill her life, but which one?

With a little help from my friends, I’m determined to find out and get Jill’s killer off the streets of my sweet, cozy town before they kill again.

Stitches are like clues, individually they don’t look like much, but look at a bunch of them together and suddenly you have a sock...or a killer.

The book includes a link to a free knitting pattern at the end of the book

If you like your cozy mysteries with a bit of humor, small-town Canadian life, a hint of romance, a close circle of quirky, lovable characters that you wish you knew in real life, dogs and cats, and free knitting patterns, there's something in this series for you.

Clean listen: no graphic violence, sex, or strong language.

Each book in the Knitorious murder mystery series is a stand-alone mystery that is solved by the end of the book. The books can be listened to in any order, however the characters lives and relationships evolve and change over time.

I really like the stories in this series and at least the narration is getting slightly better. She still makes side characters sound slow and stupid and her male voices sound dopey, slow and dumb, but she's trying.

I am enjoying this series

I really enjoyed this well-written cozy mystery! I listened to all 8 hours in one day. This series just keeps getting better! This works as a standalone, but I recommend the entire series. Good story that’s well-narrated.

This is a great series! Megan is the main character in this series. Her friends and all of the other characters are all fun! Megan has a knack of somehow getting involved with dead bodies being found. This time it’s happened again. Megan does a little snooping of her own and discovers a lot of secrets around town. I listened to the audiobook and the narration was easy to listen to.

Murder & Merino by Reagan Davis is the 3rd in the Knitorious Murder Mystery Series and is another winner. This cozy mystery book deals with more serious topics of dementia and domestic violence also. The characters are believable and relate to each other as friends do naturally. The story is well written with some surprise twists. The narrator was good and brought the characters to life. That being said, the voice for Eric the Police Detective is really weird and creepy and because of that I picture him like a psycho in a slasher film. But he’s not, he really is a good guy. Overall, great book and great series!

I listened to this. It is set in Harmony Lake, Canada. The murder and investigation were interesting with plenty of twists and turns. We deal with topics such as domestic violence in this installment. I really enjoyed the background on Megan, Eric and a few others. This cozy has a sense of being more mature than some of the others. For one, everyone is concerned not to be the next victim while trying to suss out why Jill was killed.

The narrator did a great job.

Interesting twist on a cozy
