About this listen

Can an alien professor decode the language of love?

Professor Harak H'gin leads a peaceful life studying linguistics on his native planet of Plumeria. Until the day he stumbles across a bedraggled, beautiful human female. Dared by a colleague to transform the pitiful creature into a true member of their society, Harak takes on the challenge.

Forced to eke out a meager living selling flowers, Liza is desperate to improve her situation. When a chance meeting offers the opportunity to become something more than a menial worker, she doesn't hesitate—even though it means moving in with the arrogant, handsome alien.

But somewhere along the way, the lines between teacher and student, human and Plumerian, begin to blur. Can Harak resist her newly discovered charms? And can Liza give her heart to an alien who only seems to think of her as an experiment?

This sweet and steamy standalone romance is intended for mature listeners.

Delightful reimagining of a classic tale

The smart, funny dialogue and witty banter kept me giggling throughout the story. Honey Phillips once again took the classic “ My Fair Lady” story/concept and made it her own! Highly enjoyable- make sure you get this today!!

loved it

I already love this author and the story that she did her retake on the original classic film. but the two narrators for this fit the parts very well and added to the story this was enjoyable to listen to.

What a wonderful retelling of a wonderful classic movie. ♥️🤗💯

Honey Phillips did a fun heart warming retelling of the Hollywood classic “My Fair Lady”. Liza is a human woman that is a refugee on Plumeria. The people of this world took in many displaced humans when the Sun was close to destroying Earth. The only problem they have been given very basic knowledge of the culture and the people of the planet they now live on. And it won’t allow many to fit into the very strict Plumerian society. Professor Harak sees a poor human female trying to seek flowers that no one will but and wonders why she doesn’t know that. He speaks to her and sees a defiant spark in her and a thirst for knowledge to better herself that he admires. He decides to do an experiment. Can he a distinguished teacher of culture and language teach this human female the intricate way of his society and the cultural and linguistic skills to become a member of it? And will he be able to resist her innocent charm and determination to thrive and learn. This is a fantastic spin on a classic tale and I loved every moment. I even have to admit that the ending of this story was more satisfying than the original. Highly recommend. The narrators Patrick Zeller and Kat Auden do a fantastic job bringing the story to life. They bring the emotion and depth to the characters and you will easily lose yourself in the story. Loved and just the right amount of 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
