An intimate memoir from Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay, delving into everything from the origin story of the iconic show, to her struggles with fertility and pregnancy loss, and the behind-the-scenes moments that were left on the cutting room floor.

Before eleven seasons of record-breaking TV, two Emmy nominations, and a chart-topping podcast, Scheananigans, Scheana thought that signing on to the Real Housewives' spin-off show, Vanderpump Rules, was a stepping stone to reaching her ultimate goal of becoming a successful actress in Hollywood. After appearing on shows like 90210, Jonas, and Victorious, Vanderpump Rules would be a piece of cake. But from the very first season, Vanderpump Rules pit Scheana against her fellow cast members. Barbs were thrown, friendships dissolved, and Scheana was left in the rubble trying to parse fact from fiction. On camera, she got used to being called every name in the book, from homewrecker to a pick-me and bad friend. But off camera, there's always been a different side of Scheana, pieces of her she couldn't share on screen or that were trimmed out of tidy forty-minute television episodes.

In My Good Side, Scheana pulls back the layers of who she really is and shares all sides of her—the good, bad, and messy—bringing listeners on a wild nostalgia trip through the early days of Vanderpump Rules, while recounting jaw-dropping stories from her Hollywood black book, including setting the record straight on her relationship with Eddie Cibrian. She reveals how her outlook on love has evolved and led her to a daughter she was told she may never have.

From being bullied as a kid to being bullied by the Witches of WeHo, Scheana has seen it all, and together she and her fans can laugh, cry, and reminisce on all the drama, heartbreak, and celebrations over the years.

It was do much fun to get the behind Scoop on VPR. Hearing about her side of so many stories gives a new perspective on her and her “character”. Well written - fun- cute- sad- just all around a great read.

Loved every minute of it!

I love her but I felt it fell a little flat. Like, I was waiting for some really juicy details that never came. Not to sell her personal story short by no means. The infertility and mental health topics really got to me.

Her story and voice are personable

I loved hearing Scheana tell her story. It was always obvious to me when watching VPR that she gave her heart and soul to the show. I always thought she was never given a good edit. She told her story but didn't come off as whiny when telling how she was demoted (that pissed me off to hear that). I am a Lisa fan, but clearly she used Scheana. I hope this book is a best seller because it was so well written and very enjoyable.

I’m a fan of VPR and Scheana so this was a fun listen. I just wish there were more things in the book that fans didn’t already know about her and VPR. That is why I’m giving it four stars instead of five.

Fun Listen

Flew of her life story was great and you can tell she is honest about her entire life

Easy listen

Took off one star because I wish she would’ve shared more details about her celebrity hookups. She names them but only gives details on some of them (don’t want to spoil it). She does give all the Eddie Cibrian and LVP tea! She also briefly mentioned things without elaborating. I appreciated that she didn’t spend too much time on her childhood like other celebrity memoirs. She is unapologetically herself, and listening to her tell it was like listening to her podcast. It was a quick and easy listen.

Spilled tea but not the entire pot..

Listening to Scheana share some of her deepest and most personal experiences has really given me an entirely new appreciation and understanding of the woman she is. From the tea spilled to the painful and difficult moments, this memoir was amazing and I could not stop listening. Thank you Scheana for being so transparent with your fans. 🫶🏻

As a VPR fan, I got this book expecting a little back view into Scheana and the life she lived on a reality show. Wow, was I surprised and I binged this in 2 day. what she delivered was a raw unfiltered look into her life; letting the good and the ugly hang out. She was honest in they way she told her story, knowing the narrative can be spun in terrible ways. Yet, she pushed through her fears. Sharing about her experiences with cheating and being cheated on, was a big insight into the woman she is. It also explained alot about what she was actually experiencing in the final season of VPR. it all makes so much sense. Cheers to you Ms. Shay for showing vulnerability is bravery. Well done.

I was not expecting this.
