Publisher's summary

She’s a good girl. He’s a very bad boy. Sparks will fly when fate brings them together in this fiery romance by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author L.A. Casey.

Ashley Dunne is a bad boy, a notorious member of Dublin’s most ruthless gang. But when privileged daddy’s girl Ryan Mahony finds herself living on an urban estate they control, she can’t help feeling he’s not that bad at all…

Ryan and Ash were never meant to cross paths: she’s always been sheltered by her successful barrister father. But when he’s unexpectedly sent to prison, she’s forced to move in with estranged relatives in the city, where a chance encounter with Ash sends sparks flying. He’s the one man she’s been warned to avoid, but fate seems determined to bring them together…

While her head warns of danger, her heart tells her to be reckless for the first time in her life. She knows there’s more to Ash than his gangland reputation. But when he starts to rethink his future and attracts the wrong kind of attention, Ryan has to ask herself: is her life going off the rails - or has she finally found the right track?

Well written and well performed.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. The characters are well developed. There are nice plot twists and surprises. The dialogue is believable and engaging. And let’s not forget the endearing epilogue. But as for the details, you’ll just have to read it, then it can be “our little secret.” Good job.

Mr. Davis Gunn, Narrator...

Unfortunately I can't help NOT caring for Mr. Davis Gunn's voice.
The story over all was pretty good. It took a while to get exciting, but the end results were pretty good.

Entertaining

L.A. Casey is a great storyteller and I really enjoy most of her books. This one was probably my least favorite, but I still enjoyed the story, the romance, and the characters. A good escape from reality.

Wait for it...

Oh, the typical bad boy and good girl scenario! Ryan is quite out of the ordinary type of girl and moving away due to bad circumstances with Dad being in prison to live with her Aunt wasn’t her ideal living arrangements. However, she has many family issues to resolved with her step-mom, her cousin, Eddi, being new in an unfamiliar town, and how love can be around the corner and so on. As for, Ash, he’s just bad news, well-known reputation in town because he is in a gang. In the beginning, Ash with his handsome face and smooth talking got Ryan’s full attention. It was instant-attraction, instant-love. That wasn’t my cup of tea but thank goodness, L.A. Casey was able to write about how they got to know each other in a slower pace. Now, was it boring a bit? For me, perhaps yes because all I wanted was some action! LOL it is hard for me to have chapter after chapter of inner voices not letting it all out! So, in the 3/4 of this book it got better! I liked it a lot how it twisted a bit, how things reveal one by one, and how love is grand, the power point of it all for everyone- for Ryan & Ash, for Eddi & Anto, for Ryan’s dad & step-mom.
