About this listen

'Packed full of secrets and lies, Saxon succeeds in putting the 'creep' in creepy.' Valerie Keogh

Four sisters, four secrets. Who has the deadliest of them all?

Something happened to me when I was nine.

My childhood memories before that fateful day are gone. Extinguished.

The aftermath has become a living nightmare, with a guilt that runs so deep, I'm not sure I can ever tell anyone. I fear I've left it too late...

The burden of my secret and the hurt and pain that silence cost each and every member of my family is too overwhelming.

But you can't avoid fate and now I have the opportunity to right the wrongs inflicted on us.

There was no justice. Not then. Not now. But I can change that.

The big question is, how far am I willing to go?

Bestselling author Diane Saxons immersive thriller will have you debating how far you would go for your family to right a wrong… Perfect for fans of Freida McFadden and Shari Lapena.

'An unputdownable, tense, fast-paced, terrifying plot that deftly twists and turns.' Danielle Ramsay

'An intensely dark thriller’ Ross Greenwood

'A complex, dark and disturbing thriller, full of intrigue, toxic relationships and jaw-dropping twists.' Alex Stone

'Gripping... I couldn't put it down' Gemma Rogers

A little confusing

As always a great story and twist but a bit hard to keep up with and a little confusing.

Not what I was expecting

I don't really feel like the book does the description justice. It wasn't quite what I expected when I read the description. It was really slow to start and hard to focus while listening because it was... kind of boring. And it felt like it was really missing something at the end. The ending didn't feel like an ending at all. It felt like it just stopped.

Ok..

Second Diane Saxon book in a row, and again, I just could not get into this one. The narrator made it difficult to distinguish between characters which didn’t help. I tried!

Another child abuse story

This one was tough to listen to and to finish. So full of child abuse and abusers. The story was very slow until about the last 30%. The story is told in 1st person views of many people. It was sometimes difficult to realize which character was speaking. Revenge, murder, and four sisters who stick together no matter what. Sometimes the descriptions of abuse was just too graphic for my tastes.

This isn’t a mystery

It was pretty obvious from about halfway through the book what was going on. It seemed like they were going to have a twist but there wasn’t and it was exactly what anyone would have predicted

Mind twister!

OMG! This had me struggling to figure out who it was! I went through all of the sisters at different times and did not see this coming! Would absolutely listen again!

A gripping and thrilling read that had me hooked

My Sister's Secret" is a gripping and thrilling read that had me hooked from the very beginning. This book is a prime example of a good read that makes you want to stop and say "wait, what?" I even found myself rewinding a few times just to make sure I didn't miss anything.

The narration by Charlotte Worthing is fantastic, and I enjoyed the different dialects and personalities that she brought to life for each character. Her performance added to the overall experience of the psychological thriller.

The author, Diane Saxon, did a wonderful job of defining what it meant to be a victim, survivor, and watcher. I was able to relate to some of the characters' experiences, and I appreciated the attention paid to self-care and trauma. The book was visually well-written, with vivid descriptions that allowed me to see everything that was happening as if I were there myself. The level of detail was just right, not overly done.

I loved the way the story showed the characters' resilience and their ability to survive in different ways. Throughout the book, I was kept guessing until the very end about who the heroine might be, and I was thoroughly satisfied with the conclusion.

Overall, I highly recommend "My Sister's Secret" for anyone who loves a thrilling psychological read with well-defined characters and an intriguing plot. Diane Saxon's writing and Charlotte Worthing's narration are a winning combination that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

Remarkable writing

I enjoyed this to the fullest. Had me doubting myself on the mystery Killer for a bit maybe because I was desperate that she not get caught. Bravo!!!
