So what were the “problems”? Ironically, they were the parts I loved.
First, the narrator—God bless her. I specifically chose this version because of her accent. As someone with dyslexia and ADHD, I rely on audiobooks to learn, but it’s not always easy to stay engaged. With other study guides, I’ve had to replay the same question over and over again because my brain just checks out halfway through. But not with this one.
This narrator held my attention. Yes, you can hear her kids in the background at times. Yes, she occasionally stumbles or has to re-read a word or sentence. And yes, you can hear the pause button or some basic audio gear—but for me, all of that worked. It made the material feel real, human, and refreshingly imperfect.
Somehow, all those little “mistakes” kept me more engaged. I found myself actively listening, wondering what she might say next—kind of like watching a good movie where you don’t want to miss a moment.
If you need a flawless, studio-quality audiobook, this might not be for you. But if you, like me, struggle to maintain focus and are looking for something that actually keeps your attention—give this one a shot.
To the narrator: THANK YOU. Thank you for reading when I couldn’t. I haven’t taken my exam yet, but after listening to this, I feel confident.
Not Perfect—But Absolutely Perfect for Me
