Navy Brat

Erin MacNamera has one rule: Never fall for a navy man. But from the pulse-stopping moment her eyes meet Lieutenant Brandon Davis' across a crowded lounge, Erin knows life will never be the same. Sexy, tender, and strong, Brandon is all she’d ever dreamed of in a man, but he’s also Navy - and as a Navy brat from way back, she knows better than to give her heart to a seafaring man.

Navy Woman

Busy attorney Catherine Fredrickson loves her job at a submarine base, but her new boss, Royce Nyland, has her spirits sinking fast. The icy single dad is distant, demanding...and incredibly attractive. And though he initially keeps her at arm’s length, together they brew a stormy passion that is impossible to deny. Though the laws of the sea deem naval fraternizing strictly taboo, how long can they resist romance?

Navy Grooms

Two more stories based on the US Navy. Both related by friendship and each have their own story. The first is "Navy Brat" is about a woman who was raised as a daughter of a Navy sailor child or as aka brat. She has enough of the many duty stations that anyone attached to the Navy have to go through just to be with the active duty parent. So when she falls for another sailor she is adamant that she will not get involved, she wants stability and no more travels. What happens when they clash in love and thoughts? Will they ever get on the same page? Will she convince him to change? Or will he convince her that it is not as bad as she remembers as a child?
The next was "Navy Husband" where both are active duty and he is her direct commander. This can cause many problems with their careers. If they pursue their feelings dire consequences have happened in the past. What happens when they fall in love? Will they try to buck the system? Or will they just not do anything but want?
I enjoyed the audio version and was entertained by the angst both women endured in each story. The narration was just right.

These two books were really good, the narrator did a wonderful job. I can’t wait to listen to the last two in the series.

How it is to make a life in the navy life

It was good knowing. The right kind of specific special people can love each other and compromise in military life. I never knew how hard it was for a special kind of couple to have a good book

UGH

Now I remember why I didn’t care for this series. The men are arrogant jerks who think women can’t say no to them, and the women are weak, stupid and allow them to do things against their will that strips them of their dignity and feed the men’s over inflated egos. Had to stop less than half way into the first book.

Worst Macomber I’ve read

I’ve loved previous Macomber books, read all the Blossom street series, the Rose Harbor series, and many more of her books. Her entrance into “soft porn” descriptive lovemaking was boring and contrived. Felt like I was reading a book by the principal of 10 things I hate about you movie.

Pain and suffering

I forces myself to listen and only made it through chapter 13, after wanting to throw the towel in numerous times before then.

Erin’s mentality and way of thinking made me want to cut my own throat!!!
