About this listen

Just when you thought you had it all.

Chloe Cahill's dreams changed after becoming pregnant in high school. She married her high school sweetheart just after graduation, and together they welcomed a handsome son into the world. Now that Alex, her son, is in school, she sets her eyes on finding the perfect job. Chloe feels the need to grow dependent upon herself instead of always relying on her husband.

But what happens when her husband goes out for a night of drinking and he doesn't remember what happens?

Jackson Cahill thought he did the right thing by marrying his pregnant girlfriend just out of high school. Lately he's been feeling restless in his marriage. One late night of drinking turns his life upside down, but it just doesn't end there. Jackson's got himself in a real mess. The dilemma may just be too big of a disarray for him to get out of.

Can Chloe and Jackson keep their marriage from falling apart? Or will they decide to veer down different paths?

Good storyline e

This was a good story but predictable. I like that the female character took control of her life to improve her marriage and didn't rely on her husband for everything. It took a while for the male lead to understand what she needed. Therapy of any sort can be helpful to people. The narrator did a great job with varying her voice for different characters.

Jackson and Chloe

An emotionally heartbreaking, intense and intriguing tale of the ups and downs of a marriage. Jackson and Chloe’s marriage is not all sunshine and roses, they have many bumps in the road. Can their marriage survive what has been said, done and what either of them are feeling? When two people love each other so much and their connection is deep they will at least try to make things work especially with a child involved, but can they really do that with so many hurt feelings. I have to say I hated Jackson for so many reasons but most of all it’s my personal experiences that had me loathing him. But in all honesty, Jackson was going through something that he just could not explain. I was happy that Chloe stood her ground and would not let anyone treat her the way he had been treating her. Goodness… this story had me enthralled anticipating what would happen and left me with a smile on my face.

Loved the real life of this book

This book included REAL LIFE!! Most books are some form of fantasy life. This one really made me feel like this story happened! Not too many sexy scenes, but just enough!

Great Emotional Story & Characters

I have come to really enjoy this "Love Series" and " Megan Smith". This story is so relatable, and most relationships are not smooth sailing. Jackson and Chloe have been with each other since high school but due to their circumstances they had to grow up quickly. When Jackson had a questionable night and hid what happen when he was out drinking to Chloe then things just escalated. Love all the other characters and how their support helped Jackson and Chloe not to give up on each other. Will continue with Megan, her stories make me feel drawn in.

Loved Jackson!

Wow. I started this book and was immediately GLUED. It was so, so, SO angsty right off the bat and THAT is my kind of book.

As the story progressed, the angst kept on going as well and my heart ached for Chloe and Jackson. I was so mad at Jackson at first but then, I started understanding him. Eventually, I found myself rooting for him 100% and even feeling extremely irritated with Chloe, LOL! My emotions were on a roller coaster.

Towards the end, my heart was SWOONING and I could not be happier with how everything worked out.

I am so glad I read this entire series! Such great characters!!

5 Stars to the story
