About this listen
The Fox Nation host, Fox News contributor, and social media master argues that it’s time to square your shoulders, stand your ground, and speak the truth.
The conventional wisdom is that we need more civility and fewer arguments. If you have a controversial option, keep it to yourself. Tomi Lahren could not disagree more. It’s a trick. The same people whining about tone will call you names and applaud those who threaten you. We don’t need safe spaces, and you shouldn’t be patient and wait out the bullying. In Never Play Dead, Lahren encourages all Americans, especially women, to find their voice and speak out. She skewers the hypocrisy of the self-esteem movement that has made people afraid to stand up for themselves.
Wherever Lahren goes, the number one question she gets isn’t about politics. It’s about her confidence in herself, her beliefs, and who she is. Never Play Dead not only answers this question but helps you learn how to stand your ground, discover how resilient you are, and find your fearless side. In this audiobook, she offers the antidote to all that: worry less about who might offend and focus on who you might inspire. In the long run, you will never regret being forceful when the truth is on your side.
Lahren worked her way out of South Dakota to television fame in LA, surviving social isolation, a truly terrible boyfriend, awful workplaces, and getting fired in front of a million haters. Along the way, she was tempted to keep quiet, but she never did. Now, she calls out the comment trolls, the political-correctness police, the terminally jealous, and the ever-escalating victim culture that tells you all your failures are because of the system (and therefore there’s nothing you can do about it). Whether you’ve been told you’re not good enough by parents, lovers, frenemies, bad bosses, or social media, it’s time to take Lahren’s advice and fight back.
It’s better to lose friends and followers than to lose yourself. The truth is, you may find more people who agree with you than you think. It’s time to shed your fear. With Never Play Dead, she inspires you to stand up - and shows you how.

Black Americans have long been shackled to the Democrats. Seeing no viable alternative, they have watched liberal politicians take the Black vote for granted without pledging anything in return. In Blackout, Owens argues that this automatic allegiance is both illogical and unearned. In 2012, on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan, an improvised explosive device left Dan Crenshaw's right eye destroyed and his left blinded. Only through the careful hand of his surgeons, and what doctors called a miracle, did Crenshaw's left eye recover partial vision. And yet, he persevered, completing two more deployments. Why? There are certain stories we tell ourselves about the hardships we face—we can become paralyzed by adversity or we can adapt and overcome. We can be fragile or we can find our fortitude. Crenshaw delivers a set of lessons to help you do just that.

Story
America is great for a reason. Built on principles of freedom, rugged individualism, and self-sufficiency, no country has ever accumulated more power and wealth, abused it less, or used that power more to advance the human condition. And yet, as America blossomed, left-wing radicalism and resentment festered beneath the surface, threatening to undermine democracy in the form of social justice warriors, the deep state, and compromised institutions like academia and the mainstream media.

He isolates the common elements in his greatest accomplishments; he shatters myths; he names names, spells out the zeros, and fully reveals the deal-maker's art. Great audible book!
I hope she writes more books! ( for those that don’t have time to watch TV or have cable. Ha) LOVE her confidence. Tomi is a REAL chic and just like the rest of us 40 hour a week hard working busy mom’s and rational women out here in the existing state of things. I admire how respectful she is to people that disagree with her views. She says what a lot of us are thinking, and she has the education, words and means to vocalize it publicly. You are speaking for many ladies who can’t and are relieved to hear we are thinking the same things! This book also lets you meet the Tomi outside of work and as a friend. Don’t quit girl. Keep making a difference. Love your mind and thoughts!

Enjoyed listening to this book while I ran
Just hearing this book motivated me to be more confident in myself. Tomi’s motto is “Do no harm, but don’t take any shit” She is kind to everyone and shows maturity when faced with bullying but she stands her ground. She’s raw and honest and admits her flaws & mistakes. I’ve always admired her blunt straight forward talk but there were a couple things she spoke about that I don’t agree with her on, like abortion. Over all, I felt it was a book where she shares her life story, defends herself and encourages you to stand for what you believe in no matter how many haters hate.
