"When things go bump in the night, they bump back." My name is Blair Robertson. After years of ghost hunting, I'm finally ready to hang up my hat and try something new, or at least that's what I keep reminding myself every night before I go to bed. I mean, I still haven't told Jake or Ian...yet! And well, Shane is trying to figure out how to get me to stay. It's the main reason I'm doing one last show. To prove him wrong. And I mean, nothing can go wrong with that, right?

This was great and even though it is only 4 1/2 hours long it is PACKED with some amazing stuff! Love, romance, spookiness. Its not scary but full of spooks. This kept me interested the whole time and I can't wait for the next book in this series and I hope its a little longer! This was full of drama and fun. I can't wait to see what happens next!! If you are into ghost hunter shows or not this is a fun little read and really gets you invested in the characters!!! This is my first story by Melanie Reed and I am sad she doesn't have more on audible yet! She is brilliant and original. Holly Holt does a fabulous job and really portrays the emotion needed for this story! I can't wait until book 2!!
LOVE THIS!!

I believe 100% in being honest about my reviews & I'd hope the author and narrator give us the codes to be honest with our reviews. I believe if we don't tell the good & bad then ppl can't improve or fix any issues with the story or narration nor see where there isn't need for improvement.
So, this is honest & with kind words.
The story was not bad & in fact perfect for the younger teens. Can be okay for a Halloween scary night story!! Lizzy Borden's house would be really cool to ghost hunt at & creepy. It just seemed very simple & not very scary for adult reading. There is very little character development & made it hard to attach to anyone.
The narrator, she has a clear voice & is easy to understand. However, the mic or program she is using for reading this book is very very off. She sounded as if she was talking through a tin can. I've heard her narrating another book, so I know it's not like that on all her narrations. She's perfect for reading these kinds of stories for the younger ppl absolutely!! No mistakes either, I love that part!
Would I recommend this book? To younger teens, sure. The story is simply & not very deep at all. That being said, no I would not recommend this book to my older friends.

I was given this book and chose to leave this review
I wish it was more terror and less whining.

I’m going to be honest here: I’m not really into paranormal stories. It simply is not a genre I tend to read. But the main character Blair, and the other guys ( Shane, Ian, and Jake) did make the story interesting to an extent.
The point where it lost me was in the melodrama of what was the Jake/ Blair relationship saga. I love romance stories, but this was just not something I really wanted to deal with that plot point, whether it was in the past and coming back or whatever direction the story was going to take it.
I think the story would be better if it just focused on the paranormal, and not try to be more convoluted with relationship drama into it.
The narrator was okay.
DNF.

I tried so hard to like it. I mean I really wanted to like it, but the dialog just seemed very surface level to me. Like it was lacking any real substance and was written very quickly. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t all bad. I just couldn’t get past it. The interaction between the characters was downright cringy. It reminded me of the conversations I’ve overheard between groups of teenagers who haven’t yet fine tuned the skill of flirting. A little too dramatic.
Needless to say, it just wasn’t for me. I like a story with a little more depth, some real problems to solve. That’s all I have to say about that.
Cheesy and lacking any real substance
