About this listen

A New York Times best-selling series
A USA Today best-selling series
A California Young Reader Medal-winning series

In this riveting debut, a telepathic girl must figure out why she is the key to her brand-new world - before the wrong person finds the answer first.

Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit into her life. She’s skipped multiple grades and doesn’t really connect with the older kids at school, but she’s not comfortable with her family, either. The reason? Sophie’s a Telepath, someone who can read minds. No one knows her secret - at least, that’s what she thinks....

But the day Sophie meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy, she learns she’s not alone. He’s a Telepath too, and it turns out the reason she has never felt at home is that, well...she isn’t. Fitz opens Sophie’s eyes to a shocking truth, and she is forced to leave behind her family for a new life in a place that is vastly different from what she has ever known.

But Sophie still has secrets, and they’re buried deep in her memory for good reason: The answers are dangerous and in high demand. What is her true identity, and why was she hidden among humans? The truth could mean life or death - and time is running out.

Best Book Ever!!!!!

This story is most exciting and has most tension ever, I have now finished the last book "Flashback", and I'm really looking forward to the new book Legacy!
It's so exciting in the first book when Sophie and Dex is kidnapped (Not that I think it's funny or anything like that) and I feel that I'm holding my breath! I remember when I thought there was really no bad guys in The lost cities but, the Neverseen are more cruel than any human bad guy! Oops, ignore what I just said, and I'm going to leave you to find out by yourself what that means!
P.S. It says that Sophie Foster is unmatchable at the end of the book Flashback.

So unless you enjoy all the details everything that she wants to describe even though you don’t get to see the pictures unless you have bought in the book or have Kendall just go past the boring places. I love the book I wish there was more is because I love Keith I also love Keith and Sophie together forget about all the other boys she will slowly learn that the only person who she cares about the most is Keith.

The narrator was awesome.

I listened with my 8 yo daughter. The narration was great. You could tell what character was talking based on the voice inflections of the narrator. Very few characters sounded the same.

my daughter loved it so I suspect I will be listening to more of these. The story is essentially a Harry Potter clone...extraordinary child grows up with normal people, learns of secret background and goes to school in a magical world...but the story is good and engaging. There are lots of mysteries to uncover but not so many that you cant follow it. The secondary characters are well written and Sophie's relationships with them help make you care what happens to her (and them).
