A decently written short story and failry well narrated. Nothing really wrong with it and I liked it. I did feel it was a bit thin though. And just a touch of " I think I've heard this before." Still worth checking out.

I enjoyed this spooky tale about a traveler on a mysterious train to Paris where people seemed to disappear on a regular basis. The characters were interesting as well.

The story is fairly decent. The narrator does a very good job at accentuating the characters. The story itself long-winded but nevertheless, grips you, overall if you have an hour it’s a very good listen.

I dont really care for short stories just because of them being short. This is a good book though and the narrator did very well.

Great little short story written by an author I've loved since I was a young kid. Very imaginative and well performed.

An American tourist decides to take a night train from Milan, Italy to Paris, France. Going aboard, he finds the train with few passengers. Thinking he has a compartment to himself for the trip, he’s annoyed to be joined by an Italian labourer…and then Claudio begins to talk.

You’ll see where this is going early on, but the destination (a spooky great final line) isn’t the point…it’s the characters, in a two-hander. Gerrold’s characters are always interesting to read.

Daniel Penz provides a slow, subdued, reading, but it fits the story. Not sure about his Italian accent here, though.

It’s kind of standard, but the characters elevate it
