Publisher's summary

"The humans are weak. Their skin is soft, and their minds dull from years of safety. We are the vicious. We are the destroyers. Come the full moon, when our goddess watches our victory, we will taste of their blood!"

Wolf-men, savage creatures given humanoid form in an ancient war, mass along the Gihon River. Led by their pack leader Redclaw, they seek to cross the river and claim a land of their own, slaughtering those who would stand in their way. Two paladins, Jerico of the god Ashhur, and Darius of the god Karak, must lead the desperate defense against the invasion. Their friendship will be tested as their gods resume an unending war, and their very faiths call for the death of the other. Together, friend or foe, they must face Redclaw's horde.

Great story!

The narrators voices weren't great but it was enough to distract from the story.

Medieval weapons vs werewolves, I like it.

What made the experience of listening to Night of Wolves the most enjoyable?

I liked that despite the main storyline, there was so much more going on elsewhere. Even though these people are in for the fight of their lives, they are still only a small town in a very large empire.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Night of Wolves?

When one of the characters learns that his idea of faith, is actually not faith at all. * Sorry to be vague I didn't want to give out any spoiler's

What three words best describe Ben Smith’s performance?

Solid, fluid, unique

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

It takes faith to fight unimaginable horror.

Werewolves and Paladins! Awesome!!

I have read some books by this author but this was the 1st of his audiobooks I've listened to. Really great book. The epic world development is spectacular. The pantheon, the monsters and the heroes all mixed with the common towns people. Really great story and can't wait to see what happens from there. Cool New Fantasy Series!

What made the experience of listening to Night of Wolves the most enjoyable?

There is plenty of action, interesting characters, and a rich well develop world to enjoy with a very good narrator.

What did you like best about this story?

The complicated friendship between the two paladins of opposite faiths. They should be sworn enemies but in the little backwater where they are they have come to be friends.

What about Ben Smith’s performance did you like?

He has a rich voice that is well suited to this story and world.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No I wanted to listen to it slowly to draw the experience out slower so it would not end to fast to enjoy it as long as possible so I don't have to wait for the next installment as long.

Great book

Well written with a nice cliff hanger at the end. Great narrative and well spoken. Wolves gone what is next hopeful to see.

Really a 4.5

Any additional comments?

I like it when a book exceeds my expectations. I've never listen to Mr. Smith before. I thought he did a wonderful job. I like the contrast between the paladins' religion. I look forward to the next book. I received this audiobook for free through Audiobook Boom for my unbiased review.

Very Good Story in an Interesting World

I thought this was a very good story with a unique and interesting world created by the author. All of the fantasy aspects are things we have seen before, but the author put them together with a story that kept me engaged and wanting to keep listening.

The narrator was very good. I did have one or two issues with his inflection in some places, but they were so small and the rest of his performance was so good that he definitely deserves the 5 stars.

I requested and received a free copy of this audiobook from the author, narrator, or publisher in exchange for an unbiased review. I was NOT required to write a positive review and this reflects my honest opinion of the work.
