Red Hot Story

Would you consider the audio edition of Night with a SEAL to be better than the print version?

This was my first audio book. The narrator for this book was just great. Since I haven't read the print version I can't compare but I loved listening to this audio version.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Night with a SEAL?

I enjoyed the tension and drama of the hostage scene. This moment was one where I couldn't stop listening to the story.

Which scene was your favorite?

I loved the sensuous love scene on the 4th of July night when Ali and Jon were together at Allie's apartment

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This story was one that I just couldn't stop listening to because it was so thrilling and yet it was sensuous and fun.

Great Start To An Exciting Series

Cat Johnson did a great job of launching this new series. I love the action and the romance combined with the brotherhood found in special forces.

The narrator/performer is to die for!

Would you listen to Night with a SEAL again? Why?

Absolutely. I enjoyed it. I always read good books more than once.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Night with a SEAL?

When Alison and her friend were stuck in the bank (avoiding specifics so I don't spoil it).

Which scene was your favorite?

The first time Jon and Alison were intimate!

Just a bit dreamy!!!! The narrator/performer has a voice that just makes you want to melt into a puddle!

Amazing Night's Read!

This story begins the incredible HOT SEALS series by Cat Johnson. I'm making my way through all these books now and this one starts the series off with a bang. Johnson's characters are well-drawn and you feel like they are people you actually know.

I was surprised and impressed with how well the author conveys the true nature of what it's like to be a SEAL, rather than a cardboard or politically correct version. As someone who lives with a man who works with Special Forces, I can tell you she knows her stuff. I will be reading all the HOT SEALS books, and I recommend you do too!

A Captivating Military Romance!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I would recommend this audio book to anyone who enjoys macho military guys who exude off-the-wall chemistry in well-plotted stories abounding with high-stakes action, The story was solidly plotted and it makes you want to read more of this series!

What did you like best about this story?

I thoroughly enjoyed the quick, steamy romance and the high-stakes action sequence that had me on the edge of my seat.

This book introduces us to a slew of hot, highly trained alpha Navy SEALS. It appears that each of them will be featured in a future installment. I can't wait to read each of their stories. NIGHT WITH A SEAL also sets the wheels in motion for the formation of a group of mercenaries made up of this close-knit set of Navy SEALS.I'm looking forward to seeing how this group evolves!

What about Craig Jessen’s performance did you like?

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Craig Jessen, who has a clear, crisp voice. This was the first time I've ever listened to him. He delivered a solid performance with pacing that was right on and with both male and female genuine-sounding voices. He differentiated between the characters to where I always knew who was speaking from his voice. I thought his performance was a perfect fit for the story. Based on this introduction to his vocalizations, I would not hesitate to pick up another audio performed by him.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I particularly enjoyed the couple's one-night stand. It was short, but intense... and, because the story is told from each of their POVs, I understood what was driving each character.

Here's a short excerpt from the end of that scene:

He kissed her forehead and pushed away. She moved so he could reach the doorknob and open the door. Standing in the opening, he glanced back at her. She waited for him to say something... Goodbye, Thanks for the b***job, something, anything. Instead, he tipped his head in a small nod, stepped outside and pulled the door closed behind him. That was it, then. In less than an hour, this man had captured her heart, loved her and then left her. It had to be the quickest beginning ,middle and ending of a romance in the history of the world.

I'm so glad I was introduced to Cat Johnson and her addictive books at the CY2016 Coastal Magic Convention. I'd already fallen in love with her cowboys and now her Seals have stolen my heart. This book kept me riveted from the beginning to the end. If you enjoy macho military guys who exude off-the-wall chemistry in well-plotted stories abounding with high-stakes action, I highly recommend that you check out Cat's Hot Seals series!

Great start for this series

I read and loved SEAL Strong by this author, and decided to give this series a try. Boy am I glad since it exceded my expectations.
The story centers around Navy SEAL Jon Rudnick, known for his one nightstands, and no committments and Alison Cressly, a woman not interested in one nightstands.
When the meet at the home of a mutual friend, the sparks fly and Ali breaks her rule. But Jon leaves shortly after for unknown parts.
Jon didn’t forget her , but he doesn’t need the distraction of a woman during his missions.
But when he returns and her life is in danger, rules go out the door.
The story moves seamlessly , is action packed, with interesting and well develop characters and the promise of a very entertaining and engaging series.
I would like to add that in the audiobook edition, the narrator did an excellent job and we always knew who was the individual “talking”.

Great first in series

Jon and Ally meet at a 4th of July party and hook up for a night before he is deployed again on the understanding that it was all would be. When he returns she is interested in hooking up again but then she is taken hostage in her bank. This changes everything.
A good tale overall with a good narrator who creates emotion etc pretty well
