As the squad leader of the Elite Warriors, Nikhil Kozar was the largest warrior in the Kaliszian Empire. When a shuttle crashes on one of their planets, the search and rescue mission turns into something much more complicated.
Mackenzie 'Mac' Wharton had agreed to guide a group that had wanted an adventure on her mountain. They got more than they bargained for when they were all abducted by a group of aliens called the Ganglians. Badly beaten and barely alive, Mac finds herself in the arms of the largest male she's ever seen. She should fear him, should be fighting to get away from him, but there was something about the massive male that called to her.
A traitor threatens the Empire. Someone wants Nikhil dead. The Zaludians want Mackenzie back. And then there was the secret she's keeping. Would it be the one thing that finally brought down the Kaliszian Empire? Or would it be the first step in its rebirth?

Narrators were good. A bit mechanical at times, but still good. Definitely better than the narrating in Grim which uses different American accents as different alien accents (kind of comical).
A major point of distraction in all three of Eidem's books I've read so far is the SOUND EFFECTS. I really wish they weren't there. Sometimes the sound effects don't even match the story which can be extremely confusing. The chapters have exceptionally long pauses in-between, and there's a bumper music lead-in to every chapter that sounds like spa music. It's weird. Then there's a song at the end. The only thing I can think is that the author or someone close to the author is a musician (synthetic) and is being heavily featured in these recordings. I can't imagine an audio publishing company would be coming up with this format.
Pretty good.

Would you consider the audio edition of Nikhil to be better than the print version?
Yes.What did you like best about this story?
I love this author's male characters.Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?
Of Course Nikhil. If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Hot alien causes sizzleAny additional comments?
The story is fun, light, and the male characters honor and protect women. I like how the aliens are astounded at how human males treat females and how inadequate human males are at protecting us. The female human characters are strong, a little ridiculous but still lovable.Love this author

Would you listen to Nikhil again? Why?
Yes, I was intrigued by the story right from the beginning. Its just a love story that holds trials not just for the main characters but for everyone in the book. The store line keeps you are the edge of your seat and when you finish this book you can't want to start the next one. Then when you are done you want to listen to it again.Who was your favorite character and why?
I have to say that I have a few favorite characters in the book and if I write about them all it will ruin the book. So you will just have to read or listen to it.What about the narrators’s performance did you like?
I really like the narrator's performance. The use of music and other action noises helped bring the book to life. While at first it was annoying because I just wanted to know what happened next. It actually made the book more entertaining and the narrator know how to keep you in you attention on the book.Captivating Story, you have to listen to it.
