Many Christians say they are traveling into the heavens, but others are not convinced that "spiritual travel" is used by God. The reason could be that no one has provided convincing evidence showing how it is different from astral projection. Far from being restricted to the occult, spiritual travel is actually a tool that is intended to be used by God to accomplish His divine purposes. With his down-to-earth style, Praying Medic provides Bible-based teaching, dozens of testimonies, and simple illustrations that will help even the least experienced person understand spiritual travel.

Story
Internationally renowned Bible teacher Derek Prince explains that any believer who is not manifesting gifts of the Spirit is living far below the level of God’s provision for his life. One of our greatest necessities in the church today is to demonstrate through the power of the Spirit that Jesus is alive and that His gospel is true. The world needs to see the manifestation of the presence of God. Believers need the ministry of the body of Christ through spiritual gifts. The Gifts of the Spirit reveals how we can fulfill both of these needs—practically and powerfully.

It is an invitation to pursue the best of both worlds in worship, the Eucharistic and the charismatic, with the grace of God at the center. Wilson envisions church services in which healing testimonies, creeds, exuberant praise, and ancient liturgy coexist, and in doing so, deepen our worship and increase our joy.

If it's good, it must be God. Right? These days the terms good and God seem synonymous. We believe that what's generally accepted as good must be in line with God's will. Generosity, humility, justice - good. Selfishness, arrogance, cruelty - evil. The distinction seems pretty straightforward. But is that all there is to it? This audiobook will do more than ask you to change your behavior. It will empower you to engage with God on a level that will change every aspect of your life.

Story
The first Christians "turned the world upside down" (Acts 17:6) shaking the gates of hell even in the face of severe persecution. The result: People all around "were filled with wonder and amazement" (Acts 3:10).What can give Christians today the same impact? God's Holy Spirit is ready to answer that for us in an awesome way, as Henry Blackaby and his son Mel Blackaby make clear in Experiencing the Spirit.

Story
What to do when they say they’re Christian but don’t know Jesus. Whether it’s the Christmas and Easter Christians or the faithful church attenders whose hearts are cold toward the Lord, we’ve all encountered cultural Christians. They’d check the Christian box on a survey, they’re fine with church, but the truth is, they’re far from God. So how do we bring Jesus to this overlooked mission field? The Unsaved Christian equips you to confront cultural Christianity with honesty, compassion, and grace, whether you’re doing it from the pulpit or the pews.

Story
In this vital, eye-opening book, best-selling author Ed Silvoso digs into Scripture, unearthing Jesus' true design for his church - his Ekklesia. He shows how the early church was a radical, countercultural force of people who transformed the hostile, pagan places in which they lived. Here Dr. Silvoso shows how we, in the midst of the social, economic, political, and moral chaos in our world today, can once again become the revolutionary, transformational, life-giving Ekklesia Jesus called us to be.

Deals with common misconceptions about tongues
This is a great introduction to speaking in tongues for those who have questions or who have been troubled by common objections to speaking in tongues. The answers are clear, thorough and Biblical. It also has some really good practical pointers on how to teach others about tongues and lead them in the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Accessible, Personal, Thorough
If you could sum up Nine Lies People Believe About Speaking in Tongues in three words, what would they be?
Accessible, Personal, Thorough
What was one of the most memorable moments of Nine Lies People Believe About Speaking in Tongues?
9 Lies People Believe about Speaking in Tongues is accessible to anyone from any background, especially those who are from a non-charismatic background and want to learn more about the gift of tongues. Steve is such a person who came from that background. It was very interesting to say the least to read about his journey.
Which scene was your favorite?
Now this book is not just simply someone telling about their journey into the things of the Holy Spirit it is much much more than that. He goes into scripture explaining very soundly why the gift of tongues is given to the body of Christ and how and why it is available to every believer. He goes into depth on the importance of this gift and how it is a blessing to both the believer personally and the Church as a whole.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
A couple sittings is good or while driving.
Any additional comments?
I highly recommend this book to every believer non-charismatic and charismatic alike. There are very helpful insights that I learned and was greatly encouraged in my fellowship with Christ through this book. There are also some great resource links in the back.

Nine lies is engaging and practical.
What did you love best about Nine Lies People Believe About Speaking in Tongues?
Steve's opening section of autobiography engaged me thoroughly as he described his own misunderstandings about tongues due to his conservative upbringing.
What other book might you compare Nine Lies People Believe About Speaking in Tongues to and why?
I've read other books about the topic of tongues, but most are strictly doctrinal argument. Steve bring much of his own personal experience into this book.
Which character – as performed by Steve Bremner – was your favorite?
Since he performs the book himself, he takes some liberties with the audio format. Steve pioneered podcasting long before it was popular and so has a natural ease bringing his own work to life.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Steve's anecdotes make this look at the theology behind the gift of tongues compelling.
Any additional comments?
Nine Lies People Believe About Speaking In Tounges surprised me. I’ve read other work by the author Steve Bremner, so I expected a good read with lots of biblical truth and interesting anecdotes. But Nine Lies starts with a mini autobiographical section that so matched my own experience it shocked me.
Steve opens the book with the story of growing up in the most anti-charismatic circles imaginable, and his own journey from the fundamentalism of the Plymouth Brethren meetings to a revival school spawned by the Brownsville–Pensicola outpouring.
He walks through each of nine common misconceptions about speaking in tongues and builds a clear explanation of the joys and benefits of living in the Spirit. Through detail use of scripture, he debunks the lies and extols the benefits of speaking in tongues as a part of a daily spiritual walk with the Lord.
The book includes an appendix with step by step instructions on how to either lead someone else or enter into the baptism in the Spirit on your own.
Nine lies is engaging and practical and I recommend to anyone with questions about speaking in tongues.

Great read!
This book by Steve Bremner is a great read. I both enjoy and endorse him as an author. In my many years of ministry, the same questions and beliefs seem to always appear. “What if it’s just me?” “What is the difference between speaking in tongues and praying in tongues?” “How do I engage tongues and get started speaking?” “What if I sound ridiculous?” Steve answers these questions and more in this simply, yet, articulately spoken book. Thank you Steve for another good book.

An excellent resource for this subject!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who is curious or apprehensive about speaking in tongues.
What other book might you compare Nine Lies People Believe About Speaking in Tongues to and why?
Dave Robeson's The Walk of Spirit, the Walk of Power
What about Steve Bremner’s performance did you like?
Steve's voice is very pleasant. He is well articulated, enunciates each word, and his heart for this subject comes through clearly. If a reader/listener has any anxiety for this subject, they will find themselves comforted by the Audible version.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I did not. It was pleasant and/or informative, but I was already enjoying the fellowship of Holy Spirit while listening, so my reactions were not extreme in light of that.
Any additional comments?
Steve's research on this subject was done well. He uses Scripture, other resources, and anecdotes of his experiences and those of his friends. He is not trying to teach something he knows nothing about, but he is teaching something that he knows well.

It was about so much more the tongues
Steve has blessed me with this book. My initial thoughts from the title was that it would another book that will just tell me all the thing I’ve heard from the many denominations that I’ve been apart of a one point of another in my life. It did but not in the way I thought, broke down all the things I’ve heard and gave insight strictly from bible. He gave Examples, encouragement and Confirmation on some of the things that the Lord had already speaking to my heart. This book was about so much more than just the gift of tongues. I have a few God given revelations throughout the reading of this book. Sometimes boxs like this feel as if You are having a deep spirit lead conversation with a fellow brother or sister in Christ. Thank you Steve, I have shared your book with many so it may bless them as well.

Great Answers for Skeptics and Cessationists!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
What a great audiobook for seekers and skeptics alike! And by seekers I mean those interested in this gift. One of the strengths of this audiobook is Steve's story - it is so compelling and draws you in. I resonated a lot with Steve's journey as I am sure many people listening to this book will. If you are confused or have questions about the gift of speaking in tongues, I would highly recommend this audiobook. It is also a great book for those on the fence and who maybe doubt that God has this gift for them! Lastly, the appendix on how to lead someone in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is GOLD! Thank you Steve for this gem!
What does Steve Bremner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
His own voice and tone telling his own story is so good! I felt like I was hanging out with Steve in his living room and hearing his journey!
