About this listen

"Through this pitch-perfect rom-com, Kristina Forest explores the legacy of family and what it means to be young and full of artistic passion. I was utterly charmed from start to finish." (Maurene Goo, author of Somewhere Only We Know)

Now That I've Found You is a YA novel about searching for answers, love, and your eccentric grandma in all the wrong places.

Following in the footsteps of her überfamous grandma, 18-year-old Evie Jones is poised to be Hollywood’s next big star. That is until a close friend’s betrayal leads to her being blacklisted....

Fortunately, Evie knows just the thing to save her floundering career: a public appearance with America’s most beloved actress - her grandma Gigi, aka the Evelyn Conaway. The only problem? Gigi is a recluse who’s been out of the limelight for almost 20 years. Days before Evie plans to present her grandma with an honorary award in front of Hollywood’s elite, Gigi does the unthinkable: She disappears.

With time running out and her comeback on the line, Evie reluctantly enlists the help of the last person to see Gigi before she vanished: Milo Williams, a cute musician Evie isn’t sure she can trust. As Evie and Milo conduct a wild manhunt across New York City, romance and adventure abound while Evie makes some surprising discoveries about her grandma - and herself.

Nice Read

This book had the potential to be one of my favorite books this year, but sadly the second half of the book wasn't my cup of tea at all
The story is about Eve Jones, who is the granddaughter of a famous actress from the 70's, she got involved in a scandal and she needs her grandmother to accept an award to prove to everyone that she is part of the legacy and she deserves to be an actress, but when she goes to her grandmother in New York she goes in a wild goose chase to look for her grandmother who disappeared and nobody knows where she is .. and with her goes Milo, the cute boy who was essentially her grandmother's friend and the only one who predict her movements
I really love the idea of goose chase specially if there is a time limit for it .. but this was too much drama for me and I didn't understand that ending .. why didn't anybody had an easy time ? each character is a betrayer and has selfish motives which put me off a bit .. it was a nice read just not my favorite

Lovely, engaging, well told, well narrated

A lovely YA story about a young actor who's career takes a poor unexpected turn, and the story begins. The characters are engaging and the story is well-told. You'll find yourself making extra time to listen/read til you get to the end. Cant wait to read more of this author!

I liked this!

It was uber cute! Evie was hella annoying in the beginning though. She came off as entitled and spoiled and had I known her in person I might have totally dismissed her. Buuuuuuut I had to remember what she was going through at 18 years old and that she was essentially manipulated by 2 people with their own aspirations/intentions that she thought had her best interests. So she gets a pass. Especially because she didn't turn out to be as shallow as I thought she was.
