Stylish Sinclair Llewelling has little contact with his family, but he loves his cousin Lilly very much, and agrees to help her plan the elegant country wedding of her dreams. There’s just one problem: the foreman of the ranch where the wedding is to take place.
Former rodeo cowboy Dawson West takes his job very seriously, and he doesn’t appreciate anyone who gets in the way. Ranching is in his blood, and the people he works for are like family to him, so when Sinclair and his plans add to his work, he isn’t quiet about making his displeasure known.
Sinclair and Dawson have more in common than they realize, including a strong work ethic, horses, and spines of steel. Their fighting shifts to mutual respect, and heat flares as they see past each other’s walls to the men beneath. Just as Sinclair is getting a taste for ranch life, problems at his late father’s business pull him away from the cowboy who has lassoed him in. They’ll need to team back up to balance jobs, ranch, wedding, and what their hearts want.

Andrew Grey crafts a compelling dynamic between Sinclair Llewelling, the impeccably stylish and slightly uptight wedding planner, and Dawson West, a gruff, no-nonsense ranch foreman with a heart of gold beneath his grumbles. Their initial friction feels authentic, grounded in misunderstandings and clashing values, but as the story unfolds, it transforms beautifully into a mutual respect that slowly simmers into genuine affection. The tension between them is palpable, and when it finally gives way to vulnerability, it’s deeply satisfying.
Marcus Barton delivers a nuanced performance, capturing Sinclair’s wit and polish without making him feel caricatured, while also giving Dawson’s gruff exterior a weathered, steady warmth. Barton’s subtle shifts in tone highlight the emotional undercurrents between the characters, particularly as they navigate the growing attraction that neither of them expected.
What makes this story stand out is its balance—between romance and personal growth, between city sophistication and country simplicity, and between individual responsibility and shared love. The ranch setting adds a grounded realism, and the subplot of planning a family wedding gives it all a touch of charm and urgency.
For fans of heartfelt MM romance with just the right amount of drama and a satisfying emotional arc, Nowhere to Hide is a lovely listen. It’s a story about letting go of assumptions, trusting your heart, and finding love in unexpected places—with a narrator who makes the journey feel all the more intimate and authentic
