About this listen

A cat with a gold chip on his shoulder.

A coin collector dead in the night.

Can they uncover the killer before the truth—and the collector—is buried forever?

With Silver Circle Rescue moved into Wardwell Manor, Ellie Rockwell and daughter Evie (and the dozens of cats) couldn’t be happier in their new home. The pair are getting familiar with all their cats using the magical crystal plate that allows the cats to speak to them and are able to match cats with perfect forever homes.

Their idyllic life screeches to a halt when a mysterious woman abandons the recently deceased Harold Goldfinch’s cat Nugget on the shelter’s doorstep. The sullen cat insists the police have got it all wrong—Harold didn’t die naturally. He was murdered.

As Ellie and Evie look into Harold’s death, they come to realize that while suspects are plentiful, the clues are few and hidden well. Someone doesn’t want them to uncover the killer’s identity and will stop at nothing to keep Harold’s secrets from being brought to the surface.

Can Ellie and Evie unravel the mystery before it’s too late? Find out in Nugget, Coins, and Murder, the third book in a purr-fectly paranormal midlife cozy mystery series.

I Enjoyed It

This is the third book in a series I find addictive. In this book. Ellie, her daughter Evie, and the gang try to solve the mystery of who left Nugget at Silver Circle Cat Rescue and if Harold Goldfinch, Nugget's owner was murdered or if his death was accidental. It's an enjoyable entertaining mystery with lots of questions to be answered. Ellie, Evie and the rest of the gang have their work cut out for them to find the answers even with the help of the magic platter.

The author also intertwines more of Ellie and Evie's evolving relationships with their guys in this fun and interesting murder mystery. I love all the characters especially Belladonna although I'm not sure I would like to have her live with me she has a little too much attitude and petulance! But Nugget is another matter he's such a sweetie and a witness to the death of Harold, the coin collector.

All the characters are brought to life wonderfully by the narration of Meghan Kelly which is as always faultless. Leanne Leeds' writing and Meghan Kelly's narration make these books great to listen to and also addictive. I listened to this book in one sitting and am so looking forward to the next book in the series.

Another wonderfully mystifying story!

I really love visiting this town and these characters. There is always something happening that makes me smile. This is the third book in the series and I am just as excited for this one as I was for the first. The author does a wonderful job creating these characters. Each one is lively and mischievous. That Belladonna really keeps Ellie on her toes! I enjoy her at her haughty best! She is perfect! I enjoyed all the new characters we meet that are surrounding the demise of Harold. They are all well placed and make it hard for these amateur sleuths to figure out the “who done it” portion.

I listened to this on audio. Meghan Kelly is the narrator who does outstanding! All the voices are perfect for each character she portrays. I enjoy listening to this series!

Another murder mystery in small town

Another great and existing story about ladies who work in cat rescue. Also, there are spoiled drama quine, Belladonna, and a cute orange cat, Nugget. Ladies have an excellent opportunity to solve the murder by using a magic platter that helps cats talk, especially the one who might be a witness to a murder. The story is keeping you on edge trying to solve the murder along with the main characters.
The narrator did a great job. Every character has a voice and personality. It made it even more entertaining to follow the book.

Fabulous, Fun, “Who Done It” With Sass and Style!

Who abandoned the sweet, frightened calico on the doorstep of The Silver Circle Rescue? The plot thickens when the sweet, scared kitty is recognized as Nugget, the recently departed Coin Dealer Harold Goldfinch’s cat! Can Ellie, Evie and The Silver Circle set suss out what’s what before more bodies hit the floor? Entertaining, engaging and enthralling, this fantastically written who done it kept me amused and interested throughout. The characters I’ve come to know throughout this wonderful series continue to grow, evolve and develop with each successive story! The plot is not only completely plausible, it’s beautifully executed and leaves the listener satisfied with no lingering questions! The narration stunningly brings the author’s vision to life with each character’s voicing beautifully fitting their personality! Expressive, clear, and so emotionally vibrant in it’s presentation, I had absolutely no doubt what each character was FEELING, adding so much to such a wonderfully entertaining story! I really loved everything about this one! Five fantastic stars!

Another Great Mystery in this Series! ❤️

Who dropped Nugget off at the cat rescue?  Was Nugget’s owner, Harold Goldfinch murdered or did he just have an accident?  So many questions to be answered in this great mystery!  Ellie, Evie and the rest of the gang have a lot of work to do to answer these questions.  You bet they will be using the magic platter to get to the bottom of things.  This book held my interest with lots of laughs, intrigue, and fun.  The characters are great in this book and Belladonna is as feisty as ever!  I listened to this book in one sitting and can’t wait for the next book in the series.
One of my favorite parts of this series is the narration, which is always flawless.  All the characters are brought to life by Meghan Kelly and she always makes the books great to listen to.

Great Mystery

Another book in this series narrated by Meghan Kelly. Belladonna the cat is even more sassy and dramatic in this book. She certainly has attitude lol. Ellie, Evie and the gang solve the murder of Harold, the coin collector. Harold's cat, Nugget is a witness.

This is the third book in the Silver Circle Cat Rescue Mysteries, a paranormal midlife cozy mystery series. I like this series! Belladonna is back! I loved to follow Ellie, Evie and the cats Belladonna and Nugget, in this new mystery sleuth adventure. I like the mother/daughter relationship. The story is entertaining, fun, and captivating. I liked the humor in the story. Meghan Kelly did an excellent job bringing this story to life. She has a beautiful voice, and a great range of voices. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Fairy Tales, Fruitcake, and Murder, the next book in the series.

Another fabulous book in the series.

I loved Nugget, Coins and Murder, #3 in the Silver Circle Cat Rescue mysteries, by Leanne Leeds. I enjoy the continuing adventures of Ellie Rockwell, her daughter Evie, their boyfriends and other friends and associates. They all get pulled into investigating the death of a Harold Goldfinch, a coin shop owner, after someone drops his cat at the Cat Shelter. Luckily they have great sleuthing skills and a magic platter that lets animal talk and be understood. Ellie and Evie sort the clues to lead to the murderer. I enjoy the characters and how they are maturing themselves and in their relationships to each other over the course of the series and look forward to more books. The narration by the talented Meghan Kelly is outstanding. She masterfully performs all the voices for the many characters- human or feline - and creates a living story. Several times in the book I was amazed that such a range of different voices were produced by this gifted narrator.
