This is a fun, light read and a new twist in the world of the Paranormal. Unfortunately, The Odd Series #2 is unavailable in audio, so there is no resolution to the story. Hello Editorial staff!!!! Is anybody paying attention out there? Yes, I could actually 'read' part 2, but since I like audio books for long drives, it would require reading and driving at the same time. Plus I also like to have complete series in the same format.

Fun take in the PNR genre, but incomplete!

The overall story is ok. I was bothered by the derisive tone for any of the characters dressed sensually, sexually or a-typically. There was definitely a vibe of slut shaming in the book. I was also disappointed that it fell into the hot/cold trope in terms of romance. Where the MC and Sven are kissing from the start and then the MC pretends she doesn’t feel anything and then a few minutes later is kissing Sven again. During all this she is referring to supernatural groups including Sven in derisive and disparaging ways. I would hope that the MC a women in her 30’s would own her sexuality and know herself better than this. It was disappointing. I don’t know why authors keep using this trope.

The MC is shocked to believe there are supernatural creatures and yet she is one and so is her BF. Also a hot sexy head vampire doesn’t drive a PT cruiser.

I made it through 5 hours and then had to call it. I couldn’t make self listen anymore.

Off putting. Full of derision and bias
