About this listen
Leave the chaos of city life for a true feeling of independence and self-sufficiency.
Are you getting increasingly dissatisfied and disillusioned with the nonstop daily grind?
Do you find yourself daydreaming about lakes, forests, trails, and cultivating the land…as your officemates drone on about their favorite movies and awesome video games?
Do you value environmental health, sustainability, renewable energy, and related advocacies more than your conventional-minded friends do?
If these are your realities, even while being surrounded by the comforts of modern living, you just might be cut out for a wonderful life off the grid!
Home Power Magazine says there are close to 200,000 families living off the grid in the United States. Worldwide, the figure is estimated to be around two billion. Evidently, there are countless individuals and families who have turned their dream of flourishing off the grid into reality. Like you, they have longed for a more autonomous, less wasteful, and nature-based lifestyle, and because they are now living the off-grid dream, it means you can, too.
This comprehensive guide will take you through each strategic step in the process of preparing, building, and finally settling into a healthy and productive life independent from grid technology.
In Off Grid Living for Beginners, you will discover:
- Why living off the grid is an exceedingly viable alternative to the hectic city lifestyle
- The six-step long-term approach used by successful homestead dwellers that you can adopt to your own situation
- How to practice living off the grid while you’re still completely dependent on grid technology
- How to determine if a land property is ideal for off-grid home building
- How you can stay connected to the outside world from your off-grid home
- Practical instructions for beginners on small-scale agriculture, livestock raising, and other means of living off the land
- Why and how you can live well in a rural setting, even if you’ve always been a city dweller
- How to set up water, energy, heating, cooling, composting systems, and more, which are crucial to living off the grid
- Over 10 ways of earning enough income to sustain your off-grid lifestyle
And, much more.
The mere prospect of abandoning everything and everyone in the city for an uncertain existence on some rural homestead may be enough to discourage you. In honest, practical terms, Off Grid Living for Beginners explains each of the different options you can take. You can live off the grid only partially, for instance, and if you wish to detach completely from grid-technology networks, there are proven strategies for a safe, smooth, and successful transition. It’s going to be a challenge, certainly, but you will be working toward invaluable, lifelong benefits.
If you’re ready to embrace off-grid living and enjoy the rewards of self-sufficiency in a natural environment, then scroll up, and click the “buy now” button right now.

Story
When we use chemical fertilizers, we injure the microbial life that sustains plants and then become increasingly dependent on an arsenal of toxic substances. Teaming with Microbes offers an alternative to this vicious circle and details how to garden in a way that strengthens, rather than destroys, the soil food web. You’ll discover that healthy soil is teeming with life - not just earthworms and insects, but a staggering multitude of bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms.

We live in a world of seeds. From our morning toast to the cotton in our clothes, they are quite literally the stuff and staff of life, supporting diets, economies, and civilizations around the globe. Just as the search for nutmeg and the humble peppercorn drove the Age of Discovery, so did coffee beans help fuel the Enlightenment and cottonseed help spark the Industrial Revolution. And from the fall of Rome to the Arab Spring, the fate of nations continues to hinge on the seeds of a Middle Eastern grass known as wheat.

Sourdough bread fueled the labor that built the Egyptian pyramids. The Roman Empire distributed free sourdough loaves to its citizens to maintain political stability. More recently, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, sourdough bread baking became a global phenomenon as people contended with being confined to their homes and sought distractions from their fear, uncertainty, and grief. In Sourdough Culture, environmental science professor Eric Pallant shows how throughout history, sourdough bread baking has always been about survival.

This book covers it all. I have been interested in off-grid living for a while but have never known where to start. I now feel like I have the knowledge to start to move my lifestyle more off the grid. I loved the section on how you can still stay connected to the real world even when living off-grid. I didn’t know living off the grid was even possible. This book has highlighted all of the necessary pieces to living off the grid for beginners. My main concern was making enough money to afford the lifestyle of living off the grid and the book did a great job outlining several ways I could do it and still make enough to survive.

Best book on living of the grid!
A great book to teach about how to live off the grid. This book is very honest, deglamorizing living off the grid since it sounds easy enough, and giving the reader numerous tips on how to live off the grid either fully, or partially. Emma continues with honest talk that it can be expensive to go solar since the mindset is that it wouldn't cost that much. Describing in detail how to live off the grid in a friend-to-friend type demeanor made listening very enjoyable.
I also appreciated that Emma also included how to get off of public electricity. as well as checking state laws as that not all states will allow it. This is a detail that I've rarely heard about and happy to hear that as a reminder. She also discusses starting a garden adding that getting the kids evolved will teach them good work ethics since " there is always something to do".
The narrator is very easy to listen to with an enthusiastic voice that also made listening enjoyable. There is a lot of good material and information in each chapter whether the reader is interested in a complete shift to self-sustainability, or wants to be partially.

This is the book I've been waiting for
The year 2020 made me rethink a lot of things. Primary among them is how dependent I am on well, everyone else to get what I need, and I'd love to work toward being more self-sufficient. I don't think i'll go all the way with this idea, but it's really fun to read about. And, I plan to incorporate a lot of the things I learned. Excellent narrator too. Recommend!

Living The Life!
Let's be honest, who wouldn't want to live off-grid?. No more giant bills bouncing through the front door every month. Being self-sufficient is not only a dream but it's also very possible. I love the chapter that explains learning from others' mistakes, this is an eye-opener. A very well narrated book with tons of great information for when you decide to go Off-Grid.

Read by A.I.?
An interesting and informative read although the inflection of the narrator doesn’t make sense in many parts. Also some of the wording is a little strange. Over all not a bad read. Glad somebody made a few bucks.
