About this listen

Oh God. It Hurts! Is an audiobook about the hard questions in life.

This audio version was created specifically for an audiobook and is updated and expanded from the print version.

Why is there pain?

Why do people suffer?

How does God fit into all of this?

This audiobook asks lots of questions and shares the author's own personal stories, as well as those of his sister. Many of those stories are unpleasant and troubling.

If you are looking for simplistic answers, or simple platitudes, this audiobook does not have them. However, if you are willing to wrestle with the hard subjects in life, you may find a fellow sojourner in this audiobook.

I want to like this book, but I have to many issues with it. This is one title that I would love to get my money back for. I purchased both the audio version and the printed versions. Unfortunately the author allows his very obvious liberal political views to color the book. I was not expecting a Christian book written by a pastor to contain profanity this was very disappointing and distracting. I almost understood the first use of the profanity in relaying a quote from his sister, but he uses the "B" word (means a child born out of wedlock) repeatedly in the book to describe fellow Christians who he feels treated him or someone he knew poorly. I felt it was in poor taste and was unnecessary to rely the story he was trying to tell. The author also unfortunately used his platform to insult and belittle fellow Christian author Dr. James Dobson by referring to his work as dangerous junk. If I had it to do over I would have passed on this book.

Absolutely the worst book I have ever bought from Audible. The 3rd party wording is abominable! Would rate zero stars if possible! 😞 And the topic is so needed!!! Ick

Awful 😞
