On highland time

This is a fun time travel adventure where the heroine is assigned the task of going back to Scotland in 1306 to ensure the clan chief dies in battle that was his fate. She later realizes she loves him but if she does not complete her assignment, Robert the Bruce will not rule Scotland. What’s the woman to do? I enjoyed this story and also thought the narration was good.

Claire Kilpatrick A.K.A. Ms. Angela Dawe

Audible Escape
As a fan of Ms Dawe l found her erotica reads under this name. This is 1/2 core historical romance and 1/4 erotica and 1/4 time travels. Good mix of all three genres. If author has more reads with Ms Kilpatrick then l am in as narrator can make the author dialogue come to life as author wanted it to. I would have like even more mystery in this tale. See Hannah Howell The Murray series for heaps of great Scotts dialogue and wonderful brogue,Ms Dawe speciality. Author definitely may have a series going on in this time travel group as there are plenty of characters she can draw on. Narrator brought them all to Great life so you will enjoy them if more books are to come. I do use the 1.2 speed to match the adventure. Give it a try.

It's Entertaining.

Diana works as a time traveler operative to combat other time travelers, usually women, trying to change what we know as the correct present. This premise bothered me a bit because I felt like, 'how do you know this present is the correct one and you are not the bad guys?' But as this is a romance, I tried to set that thought aside and enjoy the story. It was pretty good, however, there were these constant irritations, for example, when Diana is watching a sparring match between the Larid who she has the hots for, and the future Scottish King Robert the Bruce, she wonders if others see that the Laird is the better fighter. She knows this because she's had a few months of technical combat training. and doesn't seem to realize that all of these people live and breathe by the sword. I found a lot of these weird moments where the author forgot that the other characters were actually supposed to be from that time, 14th century Scotland so that their experiences and knowledge would differ greatly from ordinary people of today. I still managed to get through it and listen to the story which was well narrated and fine, except for these moments mentioned here. I would say Ms. Post is very creative and has a lot to offer as long as she keeps in mind what people of the past would have actually known and what they wouldn't have. Also to acknowledge in time-traveling why her character is working for the good guys and how she knows that. The sex scenes were pretty hot and probably saved the book for me. I think if you're not so nitpicky like I seem to be lately, it would be a five-star for most historical romance fans. And the narration was good.

Excellent

One of the best stories I ever heard. Writing, plot, descriptive detail were outstanding. I didn’t want it to end.
Ms. Kilpatrick did an outstanding job in performance of each character. Well done!

I thought the story sounded interesting...

I wasn't able to finish it. So many of the historical time travel stories spend a significant amount of time detailing intimate encounters between the characters. I found myself saying, oh no, not again. If you aren't put off by that, then this book may end up being a fairly decent read. However, it was too much for me and I finally threw in the towel.
