About this listen

Popular author Katherine Valentine pens the highly anticipated fourth novel in her beloved Dorsetville series. On a Wing and a Prayer is an enchanting portrait of life in a quaint New England town "where miracles are never far away". The 12-year-old Gallagher twins fall through the ice on Fenns Pond and need a miracle of their own. Father James, the parishioners of St. Cecilia’s, Doc Hammond, and all the regulars at the Country Kettle Café struggle to keep their faith as God’s will is eventually revealed.

Can I move to Dorsetville?

Such a charming community; and I feel aa if I am already friends with the town's people. Encouraging message for continuing to trust God.

On a Wing and a Prayer

I enjoyed the story line very much, small town life is always interesting to me. The narrator, John McDonough, did a very good job, I will look for more books narrated by him.

Like catching up with old friends

I love this Series. It is so full of interesting characters and situations. Not for you if you seek action, adventure, sex or violence. Or if you don't want to read about faith and religion. But for those of us who like a story based on good characters with a big helping of faith in God, these books are perfect. This is my second time listening to the series and certainly won't be my last.

The descriptions of the characters

The characters in all four books seemed very realistic and the humor was delightful and also insightful.
