About this listen

New York Times best-selling author Karen Kingsbury—the “queen of inspirational fiction” (Time)— is acclaimed for her poignant, uplifting novels.

In this moving story, Jack and Molly Campbell are enjoying a wonderful life with Joey, their four-year-old adopted son. But their world is soon shattered when they learn Joey's biological father is out of prison and wants to begin a new life with his son. And when a judge orders them to surrender Joey, the Campbells desperately consider taking their son and disappearing—just like dandelion dust.

The sweetness and tender conversation little Joey had with God was a beautiful example of simple but pure faith.

I was unsure of the narrator at first, but mid through the story was worth it!

At first I thought that the story was going to be predictable. I also thought that it might be religiously sappy. I was wrong on both accounts I found that as I got deeper into the story I started wondering how on earth this was going to work out. I was also pleasantly surprised at the author's development of the characters as they really discovered God's care in their lives.

Not Quite Predictable
