Publisher's summary

For college sophomore Mitch Greyson, determination and persistence are the name of the game if he wants to make it as a professional hockey player.

A busy schedule of practices, games, classes, homework, two part-time jobs, and now, working with a tutor to help him pass the class he’s failing so that he can keep his scholarship shouldn’t leave him with enough time to flirt with the NHL player in town. But that doesn’t stop him.

Placed on the injured reserve list until his broken arm heals, NHL Defenseman Alex Dean is using the time off to be with his ailing grandfather and get a head start on the book he’s been commissioned to write. He doesn’t expect to get roped into a tutoring gig, especially not for cocky, smart-ass Mitch.

But Alex soon discovers that there’s more to Mitch than meets the eye, and he really likes what he sees. Only Alex doesn’t dare risk his NHL career by coming out, and a relationship between them would jeopardize Mitch’s chances with the organization, too.

It looks impossible. Then again, the best things usually do!

Hockey and Books

On the Ice is the first book in the Stick Side series, a contemporary romance series featuring hot and delicious hockey players. Mitch is a fascinating character full of spunk and sass with an unstoppable work ethic. The friendship that develops between Alex, the NHL hockey player, and Mitch was wonderful to see, and it felt natural how it evolved into something romantic and sweet. I loved all of Mitch's family drama - his mother frustrated me, but made a great adversary in the book. This was a fun book and I immediately picked up the next book in the series.

Love Mitch and Alex

I have not only read but also listened to this book. The narrator did a great job bringing all of the characters to life and hope to hear him in the next book.

I seriously just read the end and sitting here crying. I fell so hard for Alex and Mitch it’s not even funny. I did not want this book to ever end. I love these guys.

Their story of building a friendship, relationship and falling in Love sucked me right on it. They are hard workers, kind, caring, ambitious, and I could go on.
This was a slow burn and written great. Again she knew how to build their relationship.

Only thing sad thing is that they needed to keep their love a secret due to being in professional sports representative.

This is my first book by Amy and won’t be the last. In fact, I’m going to ask for more of the secondary characters because they were awesome.

I really don’t want to give another summary of the book but I’m sitting here amazed and in love with these guys. I laughed, I got angry, I cried, and I’m swooning

Check out the book. I really think you won’t be disappointed

Engaging Story with Great MC's

Mitch is a struggling college hockey player. He's playing while working 2jobs and carrying a full course load. Enter Alex who does a favor and meets Mitch who he doesn't particularly like at first. Mitch hides behind his persona of a flirt. Alex sees right through him and its the real Mitch that he wants to get to know.
What follows is just that. They get to know each other and end up falling for each other. This was a wonderful story to listen to.

I didn’t love it

The story itself was ok. The performance was so hard to get over. I finished but grumbled throughout.

Loved It!

On The Ice is a sweet, sexy, slow burn romance that I thoroughly enjoyed! I really loved Mitch and Alex together. The buildup from friendship to romance was amazing. Going along with them on their journey to their HEA was wonderful.

The secondary characters added so much depth to this story.

Adam Lawrence does an amazing job of bringing these characters to life. I know I will be revisiting this audiobook again. I can't wait for more in this series!
