I enjoyed the audio as the narration was very good. The story involves two twin ladies and two rogues who have made a bet. It did leave me with some unanswered questions such as did Colin really father a child and what happened to the baby? It is also about forgiveness for past mistakes.

Without spoiling the story for others, the plot was personally not to my liking. I felt that the story was a little rushed. It would have been better with more details. If Colin had attempted to make amends to Tabitha, instead of the other way around, I think that I would have enjoyed the story more. For a historical romance, I found the characters to be too accepting of a situation that would have been frowned upon during that era.

This was a sweet and enjoyable story. Tabitha and Priscilla are about to enjoy their season with no thoughts of marriage. However, a wager is about to put an end to that. Colin, the Earl of Harcourt, has the reputation of a rogue and although he is found in a compromising situation with Tabitha, he does offer marriage. Although Tabitha is attracted to Colin, can she trust him, given his reputation? I loved the relationship between the sisters. All the main characters are very likeable. I enjoyed listening to this story, Stevie Zimmerman uses different voices to bring the scenes to life. This is a short audiobook, ideal for when time is limited.

When Colin Brooks, Earl of Harcourt, wagers Reginald St. John that he can kiss Lady Tabitha Pemberton, he doesn’t expect to be caught, but he was. Once engaged to Tabitha, he spends time with her and they come to love each other. They discover that falling in love is the easy part. Colin has the reputation of being a rake, and when one of his past indiscretions comes to light, it could spell the end of his relationship with Tabitha. Both are heartbroken. Can Tabitha learn to trust him? Can Colin prove that he has changed and is worthy of her love?

There are actually two romances in this sweet story. Twins Tabitha and Priscilla Pemberton meet and become betrothed to Colin and Reginald. The girls have strong personalities and a wonderful relationship. Colin and Reginald are rather typical rakes until they meet the girls when, of course, they become perfect gentlemen. All four characters are likeable. You want things to work out for them.

Stevie Zimmerman is an excellent reader and made this story a quick and enjoyable listen.

A compromising situation leads to an unwanted betrothal. Will Tabitha stay open to the possibilities of what the future may bring, or will she break the betrothal when an opportunity presents itself.

This short story by Amanda Mariel is an entertaining tale with interesting characters. Watch out for Lady X, she seems to see all...

Only one minor hiccup in the narration. Stevie Zimmerman did a great job with bringing the characters to life.

Lady Tabitha wanted to enjoy her first season but doesn't plan to become attached to anyone. She was intrigued by one charmer and then her name got embroiled in a scandal and their story goes on from there.
Though I like true love, and forgiveness stories, but i wish this troy was expanded more. The guy (I feel) got away easily. I wish there was more courtship and reparations. The heroine was admirable for her decision in the end.

It was good love story however, the ending felt rushed. I guess coz this a short story.

Very short read. I listened to the audiobook. I like the story , but felt like it was kind of rushed. That being said if you want a quick read tht don't take long and gets right to the point you will like it.

Lady Tabitha and her twin sister turn every suitor away at the door, they have made a pact to enjoy their first season with no strings, but then they become the talk of the ton and a quest. A bet with his best friend lands Colin in the one place he never really wanted to be, engaged. But after meeting the lady he realizes she not quite like the others. This is a fun short listen and the narration is very nice.

This story is also in book form. The narrator did a great job with the story. She brought the story to life for me. Colin Brooks the Earl of Harcourt wagers with his friend that he can kiss Lady Tabitha Pemberton. But the lady is not looking for a man to web this season. So he tries to win the kiss but instead compromise the situation that leads to an unwanted bethrothal. There's a twist to the story that did surprise me.
