About this listen
Her town’s lack of men may make headlines, but it isn’t news to Dakota Hendrix. The beautiful blonde has bigger problems to deal with, such as overseeing the romance reality competition filming in Fool’s Gold. Screening eligible bachelors is a difficult enough task, but Dakota hits an unexpected snag when a sexy stranger comes to town.
Finn Anderssen will do anything to keep his twin brothers — the perfect contestants — off the show. Despite Dakota’s better judgment, she finds herself drawn to the mysterious outsider. Like her, Finn knows about heartbreak and how a family can fall apart, so she doesn’t dare to hope for anything more than a fling. After all, even in the Land of Happy Endings, finding true love is never as easy as it looks on TV.

Kelly Murphy's life as a tulip farmer is pretty routine - up at dawn, off to work, lather, rinse, repeat. But everything changes one sun-washed summer with two dramatic homecomings: Griffith Burnett - Tulpen Crossing's prodigal son, who's set his sights on Kelly - and Olivia, her beautiful, wayward, and, as far as Kelly is concerned, unwelcome sister. Tempted by Griffith, annoyed by Olivia, Kelly is overwhelmed by the secrets that were so easy to keep when she was alone.

Is there anything sweeter than a first love? Don't ask Claire Keyes. The 28-year-old piano prodigy has never had a regular boyfriend, much less a real romance. Her music career has left little room for friends or family - which is just part of the reason she hasn't seen the family bakery or her two sisters in years.

Surprise
- By Latoya on 12-21-08
By: Susan Mallery
I have greatly enjoyed other Susan Mallery books and other novels narrated by Tanya Eby. This book was not disappointment. Like most romance novels, it follows a fairly predictable plot. But then again, that's what I love about the genre...I like happy endings :) Overall, I found all the characters very likeable. I especially liked the dynamics between Dakota, her two identical sisters, and her mother. They are hilarious together!
The other thing I like about this book is the same thing I like about all Susan Mallery books. Mallery writes true love stories. So, while there are definitely some sex scenes, there are not too many of them, and they are not overly graphic.

Susan Mallery booksHave you listened to any of Tanya Eby’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
She always does a good job.Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The relationships between the women in these books are loving and caring. Endearing. They are not competitive and are basically stress-free. Just nice. Susan Mallery develops her characters very well, and the reader begins to like and care about them. It is comforting to know when you begin reading her books that all will end well.Any additional comments?
My motive in reading these books is to enjoy a relaxing moment with a good book. I am not trying to learn anything by reading them. I just want to have a little fun, quiet time when I am alone.Entertaining. A fun read!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Only Mine?
When Fin was trapped by the old lady and Dakota's mother at the market. He was doing a lot of squirming throught that conversation. What does Tanya Eby bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I've read several reviews that bash Tanya Eby's performances and I just do not get it. She makes the stories interesting and brings the right amount of humor when needed. She is among my favorites that I like listening to tell the story the author wants to share. In fact I found Susan Mallery's books by searching for Tanya Eby's performances after listening to The Search.Sweet and entertaining!
