About this listen

Book one of the Agent Carrie Harris series.

Formed of audio transcripts of covert recordings and team member journal entries, this book documents Operation Dawn Wolf, an eyes-only covert operation to identify and terminate the perpetrators of ongoing [redacted] of the highly secret Special Operations candidate-selection process.

The transcripts document the progression of covertly recruited 2Lt [redacted] (now known as Carrie Harris, a.k.a. Candidate Corra Hughes) through the agency’s Special Operations selection process [redacted].

The files contain numerous redaction to protect the identities of current and past operations and operational agents, lowering the security status of the information from "eyes only" to "secret".

No details have been changed or edited, however the final report by [redacted] cannot be downgraded to "secret" and is, therefore, omitted.

Wonderful Surprise!

This is not my typical genre, but I am very happy I stepped out of the box. I could not stop listening, and now I want more!

Good, keeps you listening

I really enjoyed listening to this. I have no complaints. The narrator was very good for this book.

I like the it kinda keeps you wondering what was next. The observation of both was very good. It did go in a different direction than I thought here and there. I liked the how I felt the dialogue between the two were exciting for me.

I really enjoyed the always keeping on the holding back. What’s next?

I really enjoyed this book and I have listened to it numerous times. I would strong suggest a good read.

Want to know how a great agent is created?

I enjoyed this book from start to finish. it's not a straight forward story which made it even more interesting. And I don't generally like spy or secret agent type novels. Highly recommend this one though. I still don't know where the truth and lie meet! Going to give this one a relisten very soon!

I enjoyed this so much

At first I wasn't quite sure where this story was going. After the first couple of chapters though, I got very interested and couldn't stop listening. What a brilliant way to tell a story. The surprise at the end was great. I never saw it coming, which, to be honest is a good thing as many books are pretty predictable.

Spy Fiction at it's best.

I have not read books in the spy genre for several years because in my experience everything has already been done, and the books tend to lag at some point while the authors struggle to insert something new of their own. Operation Dawn Wolf got me interested in the genre again. This book is very different from a lot of spy fiction out there for several reasons, It does not fit into the normal mold that seems to be used across the board with so many authors. The story line is original, the characters are worth caring about, and I was wrong every time I tried to guess what came next. GJ Stevens is capable of writing a story that is intelligent, and still fast paced. GJ Stevens seems to care that the characters have qualities that make you want to read more about them. If you love spy novels then you will love this book. If you haven't read spy novels then this is a great way to start. The narrator is excellent as well.

Pull In From The Start

This is not a genre I read in very often but I have to say this story is well put together. For one the narrated performed an excellent job in making the banter between the two main characters exceptionally believable and interesting considering she was portraying a man and a woman. But the story was so cleanly woven together that it made you want to listen and felt like a fly on the Dr's office wall. The main character is likable and believable and she does her "job" well as you find out in the climax of this well-written and interesting tale. I look forward to reading more in this series.
