About this listen

Although published in 1962, this story packs all the punch of today's headlines. A scientist accidentally creates a super-virus during an experiment. It spreads from a hospital to a college campus and then rapidly around the world. In an effort to save mankind from extinction, the countries of the world band together to try and find a cure.

Their efforts are futile until, in a small laboratory in the USA, two scientists find a possible cure - but one that has serious health consequences of its own.

Don't waste your time

I think the guy who read this is a robot. His voice is so monotone and emotionless I couldn't focus on what he was actually saying. I hit rewind and listen more carefully only to realize that the story is ridiculous, too. I'm not sure why it was even written. This book is utterly pointless and I'm angry that 45 minutes of my life were wasted on it.
