About this listen

Love finds you when you find yourself.

Summer Phillips is ready for a fresh start. When her Manhattan yoga studio fails, she heads back to her hometown. The Pines is an idyllic tourist destination in Vermont, but Summer longs for more in her life than small-town festivals and working for her dentist father. She’s welcomed with open arms, but soon discovers things have changed since she left.

Jake Moretti is recovering from the death of his close friend, who willed him everything he owned, including the hardware store. He’s lived there a year, but doesn’t quite feel like he fits in with the locals.

Summer begins to build her life back with the help of her friends and family. She takes over teaching yoga classes at the local rec center, which reignites her passion. Even though they’re each seeing different people, Jake becomes an attraction Summer can’t ignore, and she finds herself drawn to his warmth and charm.

When an old friend comes visiting with a once in a lifetime opportunity, Summer must make a choice about where she truly belongs in life. Does she follow her dreams in business or in love? Can she have it all, or will people get hurt along the way?

Peaceful Pines is the heartwarming first book in The Pines Series by an up-and-coming star in the genre, Crystal Harper.

I loved everything about this book. it has love, loss, and happiness. The story line was perfect, as was the narration. I can't wait to see what else this author has in store for me to read.

cute heartwarming story

I enjoyed this story. Down and out city girl moves home. back to her childhood home. meets a local guy.
The heroine was weak in my opinion. She didnt want her H.S bf but couldn't tell him no. She floundered on her self pity way to much. woes is me. The move to Boston was a big deal but Author didnt show or give us her letting Trina down..
The narrators were amazing.

Simple, beautiful love story. I was surprised at how mild thos romance was considering it is narrated by Maxine Mitchell but it was a solid 4 stars all around.

A Sweet Romance Worth Your Time

This story is a really sweet romance about two people finding themselves and each other along the way. The story is very well written and the characters nicely developed. There is some steam but it's kept clean. I enjoyed listening to this book from beginning to the end. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, curious who it'll be about. The narration is spot on and Maxine Mitchell and Greg Tremblay helped to bring the story to life. Their character voices were excellent, the emotions felt real and they read at a nice pace. I would recommend this story to my romance friends. Definitely worth your time to listen to!

Take time to rediscover yourself

Summer Phillips is facing the reality that her Manhattan yoga studio has failed and she has to return to her family home in Vermont. Summer is almost 30 yo and is back living with her parents, working part time at her dad’s dental office and volunteering at a yoga studio. She’s attracted to the broody owner of the hardware store but her high school ex keeps getting in the way.
Jake Moretti inherited the hardware store when his best friend died. He lives a quiet life never expecting a forever relationship. He’s attracted to Summer but she’s in a relationship...or is she? Will Jake and Summer rediscover themselves and each other before it’s too late? Sweet story with a bit of angst, halloween and holiday fun and family.

A Sweet, Engaging Story

This book was engaging from the beginning. I felt instantly connected to Summer and her desires to figure out her life. While the storyline did feel a bit “romance cliche” at times, I still cared about the characters. The side characters were developed enough that I even found myself caring about them too. The narrators were both wonderful! I will definitely be continuing with this series now.

This book was given in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!

sweet listen

This was the first book I have listened to by this author. I liked the characters and the book really drew me in. It's one of those books about a small town that everyone wishes they lived in. Over all I thought this was a great listen with a sweet story line and the narrator was fantastic.

It was good.

Summer comes back to her home town after having her business fail in New York. She meets the new hardware store own who has experienced loss in his life. It is the story on how they fall in love.

It was and easy listen. It was nice a romance I like it. There was nothing special or memorable about it. I enjoyed it but in 2 days I will have forgotten about it. Narration was good. It is written in 3rd person, that could have be why I did not connect with characters as well I would have liked.

priorities

the story about coincidences and priorities summer is a very interesting character as well as Jake I think that the opportunity and the priorities of those characters were absolutely intriguing in the beginning I was a little bit skeptic about this story and maybe Summers mother annoyed me a lot but I did loved the story
