Why would I want to learn all the notes of my fretboard? Over my 25+ year career as a musician and guitar teacher, I have come across many guitarists who cannot name all the frets on the fretboard. Learning the guitar or music theory for that matter, with no knowledge of the basic fundamental organization of the fretboard is a bit like trying to learn to swim without getting into the water.

What’s the number one thing stopping you from playing your best tennis? Ian Westermann, founder of the world’s #1 online tennis instruction portal, Essentialtennis.com, will confidently say it’s an obstacle you probably never thought of: The ball. The whole point of tennis is to hit the ball over the net and in, so how can the ball be the thing that’s standing in the way? In fact, this is why the ball is such an impediment: your desire to hit a good shot, with the right mix of power and spin, to a specific spot on the court, prevents you from striking the ball the way you should.

Since he burst onto the scene as George St. Pierre’s grappling coach in the late 2000’s, John Danaher has risen to be recognized as one of the foremost minds in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and competitive grappling. More than just a coach, Danaher has garnered a reputation as a philosopher of the art. His social media is read by hundreds of thousands, serving as daily inspiration for students around the world. Danaher is able to take the complex and often contradictory rules of jiu-jitsu and break them down into universal concepts.

Perfect
I’ve never touched a piano before until this book. This is the perfect way to get started. In the beginning it teaches you the basics and quickly gets you moving up to more skillful techniques. This made me feel accomplished. The videos are great.

Happy
I really enjoyed this book. Since leaving uni I have not played piano much. So during new free time I started up again and found this to be helpful for refreshing my old skills. The videos were useful and I will definitely recommend this book.

Well organized
This book will help you progress with ease. As a more advanced piano player I didn't have to start from the beginning. At the start it’s good too though if you need it. All in all an excellent book.

The narration leaves something to be desired.
The narrator has somehow taken information that is difficult to grasp, and made it harder to understand or like music theory. The accompanying videos are absolutely terrible as the piano teacher is impossible to decipher unless you are from wherever his dialect is from. I regret buying this book. Caveat Emptor.

Don't waste your money
Bored stiff from the 5 year old lesson. Maybe include pictures of animals. Better instructions from random YouTubers than this. His videos have a handful of likes if any for his accompanying video lesson, probably friends or family liked them and his English in not clear. Hope you get a lunch from my "donation" kid.
