Publisher's summary

Charlie Gibson is the first port of call when Marion Hennessey, one of Hollywood's biggest stars, finds herself in trouble. Marion's yoga instructor has been murdered, but Marion herself was the intended target, and Charlie has to find the killer before they strike again.

The stakes are high as Charlie finds herself mired in the word of celebrity gossip. And she soon finds herself a new leading man as the gorgeous Rowan McLeod seems happy to help her in any way he can. However, the closer she gets to Rowan, the more questions Charlie seems to have regarding her relationship with Jake.

With help from Dot and Rosie, Charlie is confident she can find the killer and bring them to justice, even if it means doing yoga for once in her life. But Charlie soon finds herself in the killer's crosshairs. She has to get to the bottom of this, and fast, before she ends up in corpse pose—permanently.

Fun mystery. A great beach read!

I enjoy this mystery series. Charlie and her friends are likeable characters which are well-developed. The Maui setting is great too.

Great series

Really really really have enjoyed this series. The only reason I gave it four stars for the story was because I guessed early on but I still enjoyed it. Can’t wait for the next one!!

The development of the 3 women

Fun and quirky mystery. This one had me puzzled until the very end. Charlie and the girls are a hoot!!

Pina colada poison

Good mystery and light comedy with just enough action in the story. It’s the 4th book in the series.

Too much girl power focus

I don’t understand why the characters have to continually be focused on explaining how they don’t need men and how bad it has been since the beginning of time for women. We get it already, just stick to the story and stop making the female characters over the top. In the real world, men would not seriously be interested in these female characters. And that’s a shame because it otherwise has potential but it’s too hard to get past the drivel.

Could be better...

This author doesn't pay attention to the math in her books. By that I mean, she wrote that Marion and her husband were married for eleven years when they separated (ten years ago). But there was no custody issue because their child was an adult? How does that happen in eleven years? Unless the divorce became final after seven years, or their child was born before the marriage, there is no way the child was an adult.

Then Charlie tells Rowan that she moved from the island when she was a teen (and in previous books she said she was sixteen) and lived in Seattle for fifteen years, that would make her thirty-one years of age. But she and Zoe keep talking about not being in their thirties yet.

In every book, on every television show, in every movie, how do people not know someone is in their back seat? I have a light that comes on every time my car door is open. There is no way anyone would be able to hide in my back seat.

These are the things that bug me to no end in a series like this. Anyway... let's hope the next installment is better.
