Pineapple Port Senior Living Community is full of fun and shenanigans. When you mix one young woman with an entire community of bored, nosey seniors, laughter is sure to follow. Charlotte and Declan are a most compatible couple, she's finally gotten her P.I. license, and he, though wanting to keep her safe, is not one to "forbid" her activities, but rather joins her on her adventures.
I rather like the dynamic of the couple, both secure in themselves and not clingy or possessive, it's a refreshing change. The stories are on the cozy side of mysteries, with no overt sexual content or graphic violence, though murder does happen in any murder mystery. The language is clean, and the characters well developed.
I've listened to many audio books, but I hadn't hear Rosemary Benson before, so I was worried that the narration would spoil an otherwise wonderful story, but I needn't have. Rosemary Benson did a fantastic job with the audio, giving each character their own vocal signature. Overall, listing this one was a pleasant afternoon well spent.

This book is well-written and -plotted. The characters are well-fleshed-out and believable; the mystery was complicated and interesting. To me, it seemed slightly more hard-boiled than cozy. Well worth the read!

Pineapple Port in my opinion is the place to be. Check out the other books all of them are exciting and I can't stop reading till the end. why does Jackie own a secret Disco? Why does Gloria need Charlotte to find a missing man who sends her messages on his tee shirts. Then there's Stephanie a serial killer or lawyer? These book's are funny.

Drug dealers get involved with the Pineapple Disco and there is a lot of action with Charlotte, a woman over 50 who is a detective helping her friend Jackie with problems when violent violent criminals intent on claiming the club as their own. More problems for Charlotte is the two cases between Declan who has a secret past with Stephanie, an assassin hired by the competition.
