About this listen

Lucetta Plum is an actress on the rise in New York City, but is forced to abandon her starring role when a fan's interest turns threatening. Lucetta's widowed friend, Abigail Hart, is delighted at the opportunity to meddle in Lucetta's life and promptly whisks her away to her grandson's estate to hide out.

Bram Haverstein may appear to simply be a somewhat eccentric gentleman of means, but a mysterious career and a secret fascination with a certain actress mean there's much more to him than society knows.

Lucetta, who has no interest in Abigail's matchmaking machinations, has the best intentions of remaining cordial but coolly distant to Bram. But when she can't ignore the strange and mysterious things going on in his house, it'll take more than good intentions to keep her from trying to discover who Bram is behind the part he plays.

Loved this book!

The third book in the series and I absolutely adored the story in this one. Just as good as the first two

Good but not my favorite

Jen Turano is one of my favorite authors but I must confess this narrator isn’t my favorite. I don’t care for her with this style. Nancy Peterson is good in more dramatic stories and she doesn’t pull off the humor.
Saying all that I did enjoy the book, it just wasn’t my favorite.

Fun read.

This book was a fun read. It was quirky and enjoyable with some laugh out loud moments.. Learning more about the ladies lives was interesting. It is worthwhile.

❤️❤️❤️

This is my favorite of Jen’s books so I decided to purchase the audiobook so I can listen on the go. Nancy did a great job with the pacing and various voices, bringing Jen’s awesome characters to life.

Fabulous

Full of humor, an amazing cast of characters including a collection of lovable animals, a mystery, danger and a villain, this goes down as one of my favorite audible books this year! Heck the entire series is not to be missed! Of course Jan Tirana has become one of my favorite authors and Nancy Peterson is beyond compare with her A-1 narrations!

Seriously do not miss this series! You can thank me later! The only complaint I have is that I wish it could continue on!

Another Delightful Read!(listen)

Author Jen Turano has another triumph! Playing The Part ; third novel in this trilogy, is a joyful journey. Performance is provided by Nancy Peterson, my new favorite narrator, There’s a perfect combination of comedy, intrigue and faith in each story. I end up staying up all night to listen to each novel’s performance. They each are so intriguing, I have to listen for the HEA ending. Jen ties up all the strings in each story so the reader is content and peaceful. I need to find another series by Jen Turano!

Nice story with excellent narration

While I didn’t enjoy this story as much as I did the others in this series, it was still an enjoyable read and a book that I would recommend reading.

The audio narration was excellent and truly brought the story to life.

Great Fun!

This is one of my favorites. It has a bit more meat and potatoes to it. If you’re the artistic type, I think you’ll really like it.

Definitely Not As Good As the First Two!

I listened to the first 2 audiobooks in this series & absolutely loved them both. I couldn’t wait for the third, but I didn’t even make it to the ending. The narrator was excellent, but the storyline was just strange to me.
