my comfort listen

This is my favourite book. I listen to it regularly. Patrick Warburton's narration is perfect for this story.

Interesting, soothing voice

Discusses some philosophical ideas with some dark humor. The narrator's voice is very very soothing though and I got a comfortable nap. Maybe not a good candidate listen if you are driving.

Meh

only 14 chapters yet I struggled to finish this book. I'm not the biggest on stories that are tangential and kinda irrelevant to the main story line.

Cannot recommend this enough!!

I’m not normally big on philosophy books because the author’s tone can come across as condescending or forcibly introspective, but this is the exception! The thought process feels very natural and Warburton captures that Snicket narration style beautifully.

Thought provoking

I've always loved Lemony Snicket's writing. This was so much fun but also so thought provoking. Somehow I don't feel this is a children's book.

I loved every minute of the book.

a book for young and old

or how to be a writer.
or keep it simple and surprising.
give this book to a 10-year-old that you suspect may have a literary disposition.
or not.

Wow.Wow.Wow.

This entire book is my brain - everyday. I’ll be forever grateful for this author sharing his own thoughts - very clever … very profound … all around … perfect.

This is a book, but a rambling one.

The book seems like and rambling collection of thoughts rather than a story.
it is not personally my style of book, but if you like interesting random thoughts it might be for you.
