This book has been an immense source of inspiration for me over the past few months. While I find learning about different perspectives intriguing in general, this book truly stands out due to the personal touches of the author, Katie Weatherup, and the evident depth of her years of doing shamanic work. I also greatly appreciate the openness she brings to the topic of shamanic journeying. She acknowledges that readers might have varying perspectives and that it's perfectly acceptable if shamanic journeying isn't for everyone. This creates a space where the reader can explore their own path and make informed choices based on their unique journeys. In this regard, I would like to emphasize that even if someone decides that shamanic journeying is not for them, this book still holds a wealth of valuable insights. The topics the author addresses, such as setting boundaries, navigating mourning and death, and exploring ethics, are universally relevant and provide meaningful guidance for personal growth and self-discovery.

I would like to thank Weatherup for creating a work that resonates on multiple levels and for sharing her wisdom with the world.

Thank you!

This book is a good introduction into shamanism I recommend it to you, because it will give you good ideas of what to do in shamanic journeying.

A great introduction in shamanism

At the beginning, it sounded like the narrator should be reading a children’s book and it was a little hard to concentrate on what the author was saying. However, as the book continued, it (the voice) did get a little better. I wasn’t familiar with the details of shamanic journeying before I listened to this, but I feel like the bulk of the book wasn’t necessarily about “shamanic journeying.” I guess I expected it to be more instructional (which it was at a few parts), but it was mostly lessons she had learned through her spiritual practices. I wouldn’t recommend this to someone wanting to to know the details of shamanic journeying, but I think it’s a good book for overall guidance.

Narrator was distracting, but good for overall guidance

Written by an engineer with shamanic/psychic/Reiki deep understanding experience and skills. Very thankful for connecting these dots in my understanding

I couldn't listen to her voice. Some of the writing is hokey. Hard pass. Save your credit.

I've been a shaman for over 20 years, and have taught many students the Ways. This book is full of barely-usable information, and is instead full of nice-sounding woo. If all you want is a book of woo to make you feel like you're doing something, and NOT something practical and usable, then this is the book for you!

I got this book because a couple of my current students were asking me if it's a good one for them to study, since I encourage them to seek answers from more than just me. I will NOT be recommending this to anyone wanting to learn real shamanic work.

That said, I would recommend it to anyone that wants to die of alcohol poisoning by using this as a drinking game and taking a drink every time "shamanic journey" is said.

I guess my students are right, and I should write a book with real and usable information in it.

This WOO's for you! (To waste your time)
