About this listen

Imperalis has been lost. The Nameless Ones have returned. The Coalition refuses to fight, leaving the Ganog to wage a war they cannot win.

Betrayed and cut off, Khar and Zakanna struggle to survive. Nolan and Burke bring Alpha Company to reinforce the Nyar home world, only to be overwhelmed by the mighty Void Wraith Omegas. Fizgig and Takkar are captured by the sadistic Kthul fleet leader, Azatok.

Only one guttering flame of hope remains. On Nyar, Nolan finds an ancient Void Wraith Omega, weathered and damaged. If he can restore it, they might just have a weapon strong enough to fight back.

Enjoyed Chris Foxes writing and Ryan Kennard Burke's narration as usual. Anxious for the next book.

I started this series with The Complete Void Wraith Saga: Books 1 - 6. Unfortunately, that book was not the complete series and did not include the end of the Ganog Wars. Press the Line is a Light fun SciFi Space Opera Press the Line provides the end to the Ganog Wars. The characters and plot were engaging and the pace was fast. The writing is not bad, if a bit formulaic and predictable. There is a definite lack of world-building and depth in both the story and the characters. This is a movie-like book and series but it is entertaining. I did appreciate the recap at the start of the book.

On the downside, this reader did not get enough background, science, and depth to make the universe believable. The characters, while likable, are flat and the dialog is simplistic. That said the pacing is good and the action scenes are entertaining.

I listened to the audible version and the narration by Ryan Kennard Burke was very good. This is not great Science Fiction; there is little if anything new here. It is almost more fantasy than it is SCIFI. That said, it's harmless and fun entertainment. 3.5 Stars. Even though I enjoyed it, the book and the series do not warrant a four-star rating.

Fun Sci-Fi Space Opera
