Publisher's summary

When travelwisdom.com assigns PR specialist Caroline Beckett and travel blogger Emma Morgan to cover a hot new couples retreat, they’re forced to fake a relationship to secure a reservation. Ten days in paradise would be a dream assignment, if only they’d stop arguing long enough to enjoy it.

Reputations are Caroline’s business. Too bad she was forced out of her previous job when an ex smeared hers all over the office grapevine. She’s never getting involved with a coworker again, especially not one as careless and unprofessional as Emma.

Emma knows that life is too short to play by the rules. But when she goes too far and a defamation lawsuit puts her job in jeopardy, she has to make nice with Caroline, the image police, and deliver the best story of her career.

Only pretending to be in love sure feels a whole lot like falling in love. When their story goes public, ambition and privacy collide, and their chance at making a fake relationship real might just be collateral damage.

Great book!

This author was new for me. I really liked this book. Although Caroline was a bit hasty in reacting to things she thought were any type of threat, it was good. I'll be reading more from this author. The narrator was good too.

My first book by this author..

Keira Grace was the lure for me, but it really was a great story of finding love when you least expect. It was one I wanted to get through quickly to see how it ended. Worth a listen

Soooo Good!!

I really enjoyed it. I read the other reviews and yes Caroline is infuriating and I loudly exclaimed, "Come on!" a few times, at work, getting a few strange looks from my coworkers, but that's what's so great. I want the stories and characters to invoke emotion! This was my first book by this author and I was not disappointed, which was a good thing since I used my monthly credit to purchase it.😁. also bravo for the narration. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👊

Mixed Feelings

I love M. Ullrich’s writing style snd sense of humor. (Fun sponge made me laugh so hard.) The characters felt real and I had no trouble visualizing their surroundings.

I have to say, though, I wasn’t a huge fan of Caroline and the amount of work she required. Her angst irritated me enough to make me hit the forward button several times near the end.

I’m glad I heard this book and will keep reading this author’s works.

Really!

Really! A woman like Emma with a woman like that. First of I didn't like Caroline. I don't like this I don't like that. I'm scared of that.
She sounds like Monk. Don't know Monk? then look him up. She seemed strong at first . She bought Emma down. She
was strong at first too.,
