About this listen

An enemies-to-lovers lesbian romance with an ice queen whose frosty facade is melted by the power of touch.

Hannah Martin has an unusual job: she's a professional cuddler. While she has a big heart for her clients, she hasn't found someone special to snuggle up to in her personal life.

Winter Sullivan isn't looking for love. She's an aloof workaholic who's built walls of ice around herself. She would rather drive toothpicks under her fingernails than cuddle, and she certainly doesn't want to share her space with anyone.

When Winter's estranged father dies, he leaves her one last surprise: she and Hannah, a perfect stranger, will inherit a building together. But there's a catch: first, they have to live together for ninety-two days.

Winter is determined to dislike her rival, but soon finds Hannah isn't what she expected at all. Thanks to a hilarious doormat war, a cuddle dare from Winter's half sister, and a kiss in the most unusual of places, the frosty fortress around her heart begins to melt.

Will she be able to accept that love might be just a touch away?

Contains mature themes.

Yummy

This enemies to lovers book was just what I needed. I learned so much about professional cuddlers and aphantasia while enjoying the story! Written by Jae and narrated by Abby Craden so you just can’t go wrong! The story is engaging and well written.

I loved it

Jae is a great author and I feel closer to her and the stories after learning more about her.
Abby Craden is amazing, but I have one little complain. The Brazilian accent is not like that. My ex was Brazilian and I have a ton of Brazilian friends and I can tell you they don’t sound like that. Anyway, I could listen to Abby ready a recipe and still be in love with the story.

Ice Queen & Professional Cuddler

First an FYI: I’ve gotten quite discouraged with written reviews. I was in an FB group for an author, and was really disappointed when they posted a message stating that their book was given a negative review. Then, they asked the followers to please write positive reviews to “bury” the negative. Suddenly the book was swarmed with 5* ratings, along with generic reviews of “love this book” “couldn’t put it down” with a lot of exclamation points.
No thank you.
I write a review based on my true opinion of the book. How do fake reviews honor the unique writing of a particular author?
Hannah cuddles people, to acquaint them with positive touch that isn’t sexual.
Because of an inheritance, Hannah finds herself rooming with Winter, a no-nonsense workaholic who thinks cuddling strangers is creepy and ridiculous.
This makes for some difficult moments as these two try to find a way to be roommates when they have nothing in common.
An added bonus is the reappearance of Dawn Kinsley from “Conflict of Interest” and “Next of Kin”
There’s twists and turns, of course and the situations are different and a refreshing change, from the usual enemies-to-friends romance.

Jae!

I’m a huge fan of Jae! To pair this wonderful writer with the phenomenal Abby is a no brainer 5 star for me. Even though this may be thought of as a typical F/F romantic HEA, there is always more meaning to Jae’s writing. Always worth a credit where either writer or narrator are concerned. If you enjoy typical romantic drama - girl meets/loses/gets back scenarios, which is honestly one of my biggest pet peeves of this genre - then you may score this a little lower as this doesn’t have that. Definitely a slow burner.

Cuddle Bugs

Hannah Martin is a professional cuddler and loves her job. Winter Sullivan is a marketing consultant and has no interest in love or cuddling. Winter’s estranged father leaves a building to Hannah and Winter as long as they live there for ninety two days and live under the same roof. An ice queen and a teddy bear are both forced into a relationship. How in the world will they survive? Great work and narration.

Frustrating all the way to the end

I have never heard of a professional cuddler but I can say that it is an awesome thing to do for a career. I did not like Winter to begin with but you will by the end.
