About this listen

Money. Betrayal. Murder.

That's a Private conversation.

Hired to protect a visiting American woman, Private Johannesburg's Joey Montague is hoping for a routine job looking after a nervous tourist. After the apparent suicide of his business partner, he can't handle much more. But this case is not what it seems - and neither is his partner's death.

Awful

Narration was good and story was fast paced. It really just ended too soon for me, but great book.

Loved it!

Basic premise not believable and actions of the heroine also not believable but Patterson is a great writer

Pattersons ability to hold the reader

Throughly enjoyed the book as I have done all of Patterson's books I was not as impressed with the narrator as with some of the others but the plot was as riveting as always.

Private gold

Not much of a story, very uninspring. I guess that is why the price was reduced.

Bad book

When I purchased this book, I didn't realize it's a short novel. Given that it was meant to be a really quick read, I guess it was ok. Great premise. Very predictable though.

Ok story

I liked this book, even though it was short it was filled with suspense and kept me on my seat from start to ending.. The Epilogue was the icing on the cake, that alone made the book even better. This book didn't have Jack Morgan solving the case but it had Joey who had to deal with murder, money, betrayal and love, and he did a great job of protecting the client. At first Joey was skeptical about taking this job due to the murder of his partner, but Jack eases his mind with one conversation and Joey is expecting this job to be an easy job so he can get back to picking up the pieces and starting Private Johannesburg up again… Little did he know that this case would end up changing his whole life.

Jack has to go on

Would you try another book from James Patterson and Jassy Mackenzie and/or Robert Petkoff?

Don't do another like this.

What could James Patterson and Jassy Mackenzie have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

How about a less predictable plot?

How could the performance have been better?

Hard to do a good job with poor material.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Private: Gold?

All of them.

Any additional comments?

I want a refund.

Really disappointing amateurish piece.
